Implemented targetting improvements for controller users. Bugfixes for the Prismatic Bubble and Whirlpool skills.

Bug Fixes:

  • Fixed an issue where enemies were unintentionally getting the Wet status when entering Prismatic Bubble's area.
  • Fixed an issue where the Wet status applied by the Prismatic Bubble and Whirlpool skills would cause some infinite looping with Warm and Burning statuses.
  • Fixed an issue where the skillbook for Blessing of the North was not available at level 9 as intended.

Other Improvements:
  • Controller targetting improvements for pretty much all of the Hydrosophist skills.

Various balance tweaks made to improve the gameplay experience. To-and-Flow has been reverted to Healing Ritual in order to provide more tools for underrepresented playstyles.

Bug Fixes:

  • Fixed an issue with the crafting item categories for Tridents.

Balance Improvements:
  • Status: Hypothermia
    • Reduced damage multiplier from 23 to 12.
  • Frozen Bulwark
    • Reduced Magic Armour from 43 to 20.
    • Reduced AP cost from 2AP to 1AP.
    • Reduced Water Resistance from +100% to +50%.
    • Increased cooldown from 3 turns to 4 turns.
    • No longer stackable with Granite Plating and Insulation Shield.
  • Icy Veins
    • Reduced AP cost from 2AP to 1AP.
  • Bubblebeam
    • Reduced projectile radius from 2m to 1m.
  • Ice Wall
    • Reduced AP cost from 2AP to 1AP.
  • To-and-Flow
    • Skill reverted to Healing Ritual.
    • Reduced Healing Ritual's cooldown from 5 turns to 4 turns.
  • Blessing of the North
    • Reduced Water Resistance per unit from +25% to +10%.
    • Reduced Magic Armour from 20 to 15.

Other Improvements:
  • Improved projectile VFX for the Bubblebeam skill.

Version 1.2.0
Big improvement patch, containing several quality of life improvements, new skills, and skill reworks. Some spells now also hit allied characters as well as enemies to make the skills a bit fairer to use. A lot of the spells have been given updated visuals, so I hope you enjoy them all!

Balance Improvements:

  • Reduced Winter Blast's damage from 105 to 100.
  • Increased Winter Blast's damage range from 7 to 10.
  • Updated Winter Blast's tooltip to clarify that it hits all characters.
  • Waterspout no longer applies Knocked-Down to characters without Magic Armour.
  • Waterspout now applies Lost Footing instead.
  • Waterspout now also hits nearby allies.
  • Reduced Restoration's on-cast heal from 15% to 10%.
  • Increased Winter Blast's cooldown from 2 to 3 turns.
  • Harsh Current now pushes enemies back slightly after pulling them in so that they are not on the same spot as the caster.
  • Increased Harsh Current's radius from 5m to 6m.
  • Increased Rebuke's radius from 3m to 4m.
  • Reduced Rebuke's push distance from 3m to 2m.
  • Rebuke now applies Lost Footing.
  • Increased Bubblebeam's target radius from 1m to 2m.
  • Slightly reduced damage multiplier on Arctic Blast.
  • Arctic Roar now deals flat damage on top of the Magic Armour multiplier.
  • Arctic Roar now creates a small ice surface beneath hit characters.

New Skills and Reworks:
  • Fury of the North:
    • Renamed to Blessing of the North.
    • No longer scales on Magic Armour.
    • No longer provides the caster Chilled Aura.
    • Now applies Ice Barrier on-cast, granting Magic Armour for each nearby enemy who has either Chilled, Frozen, or Hypothermia.
    • Ice Barrier provides 25% Water Resistance and inflicts Chilled to attacking characters for its duration.
    • Reduced AP cost from 3 to 2.
    • Increased CD from 4 to 5 turns.
  • Trident Thrash:
    • Renamed to Trident Slide.
    • No longer strikes a target multiple times.
    • Instead, the player glides across the battlefield on a trident and deals damage based on your weapon upon landing.
    • Enemies are knocked-back slightly upon landing.
  • Ice Shard:
    • No longer shatters for additional AoE damage when cast on a Frozen target.
    • Now pierces through characters.
    • Increased damage from 80 to 105.
    • Increased damage range from 4 to 10.
    • Increased cooldown from 2 to 3 turns.
  • *NEW* Icy Veins:
    • Grants the caster Icy Veins, enabling you to apply Hypothermia regardless of whether your targets are Chilled, Frozen, or have no Magic Armour.
    • Whilst affected, your Physical Resistance is reduced by 20% and your Movement Speed by 15%.
  • *NEW* Aegis Assault:
    • Throw your shield at the target, dealing flat water damage and additional water damage based on your current Magic Armour.
    • The shield bounces to an additional target.

Other Improvements:
  • Moved Evelynn towards the campfire in Fort Joy to increase compatability with the Monster Madness mod.
  • Added One-Handed and Two-Handed Frostblades - swords which deal water damage and scale on Intelligence.
  • Improved VFX for a plethora of skills.
  • Improved several skill icons to better reflect their functionality.
  • Tridents are now based on Spears, improving their animations and weapon bonuses.
