Okay we all know that the Sharpened Volcano fragment has been one of the most pathetic and useless weapons in Team Fortress 2 history. We all know it sucks in Medieval mode as well because you can just use the back scratcher. Well i've come up with a few solutions to make the SVF useful for once.


1. Pair it with Phlogistinator, Detonator/Flare gun/Scorch shot, Sharpened Volcano Fragment.

After all the Phlogs nerfs. It no longer is a over powered unkillabe weapon. So here's another way to make it useful. With all the nerfs the phlog got. You gotta either be stealthy or have a medic in order to be decent. So when someone isn't looking. Hit him with the Sharpened volcano fragment, switch to your secondary for a quick kill. This tactic is basically for the Axtinquisher. But after all those nerfs it got. The SVF in this tactic acts like a Flamethrower and your secondary acts like a Axtinquisher without it's deploy nerf. Use the correct secondary. Do you want a quick kill on them? Use the Detonator or the Flare gun. Do you want to force the enemy to retreat? Since the Scorch shot has a good knockback. Use that.


2. In medieval mode. Get a friend to use an Axtinquisher.

Basicaly you want to stick around with your buddy at all times. Hit the enemy with the Sharpened Volcano fragment. And let your buddy finish him for you. If you really got a lot of friends though. I suggest you get a friend to use the Mad milk (To give ya'll health) and a Sun on a stick (For extra damage) or a sandman (To stun hostiles allowing you to attack him without him defending or lastly (The Fan o war) to make it easier to kill your desired target.
