For whom it may concern, the Flak Cannon Arm dealing ridiculous amounts of damage can be fixed fairly easily. You could just unpack the mod and delete the "projectiles > mech > flakbullet" folder, or make the projectiles and explosion effect only fire when the projectile times out. The latter takes a small amount of know-how, but has the benefit of making it so that Flak projectiles explode after traveling some distance if they don't score a direct hit, which is neat.

Without changes like these, your Flak Cannon will essentially deal damage twice as the explosion effect seems to count as a second hit, and the shrapnel getting thrown into the mix causes even further weirdness, at which point the Flak Cannon has an absurd amount of DPS.

Also, Rho Grav beams don't affect NPC's anymore. Very sad!

This mod's out of date and causes a strange issue where vanilla mech weapons are very overpowered. The basic flak cannon one-shots enemies in even tier 6 anomalies and encounters. Sadly can't recommend using this until someone else picks up the mod.

Is this still compatible with the newest version? I noticed its been 2 years since it was updated and nearly 4 since its dependancy.
