MoreMusic

Description
Adds in a bunch of new musicians and their respective great works. Modpack includes artists from the 1950s throughout the early 2000s. Some musicians have more than one great work. Mostly contains popular rock and doo ♥♥♥.

Each audio clip is around 30 seconds long. Some of the songs are a bit quiet compared to others but shouldn't be an issue.

Each musician comes complete with its own audio and art splash screen, rendered to appear as fitting to the base game as possible.

Artists include: The Beatles, The Who, Pink Floyd, The Animals, AC/DC, Queen, Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones, Rush, and many more!

Should be compatible with any mod. No longer taking requests on music to add in. Ask me in the comments or in a message if you'd like some help building your own Great Musician mod.

CivFanatics page includes full track listing: https://forums.civfanatics.com/threads/moremusic-1950s-2000s.619341/

It seems as if I'm unable to make the Great Musicians appear in their chronologically-correct time periods. I'm not sure what coding I'd have to implement for this.

It seems as though the mod will not work correctly if you have the Community Patch Project mod installed. It's an easy fix however. Just open the Community Patch folder and goto "Core Files\Core Changes". You should find the file called "EraSpecificMusicians.sql". Delete this and both mods will be fully compatible with each other.

I don't know exactly how you would make them appear in chronological order, but I would imagine it has to do with different eras since that's how it works in the base game.

Great taste. Love that you had the individual Beatles (except Ringo)

Realy great yet simple mod!

I always liked the musicians more then the painters and writers, but a pity that in the base game all the great musicians had classic music.
I understand it ofcourse since getting like 100 licenses for songs would be expensive and not realy worth it. But with this mod I am always excited to see what song the musicians will bring me.

Good job! :Diplomat: :sayaka_DGR:

Thanks again Pupper, yep i reckon thats the issue aswell mate. I wrongly assumed that the mod "kicks in" from the start. Ive reinstalled and im going spend a few hrs on a new game and hopefully later on in the game il hear your music tracks...Great collection of tunes BTW. Il report back hopefully later or tomorrow with my findings. Cheers once again for your help mate.

@Adger Ah that might be the issue. In Civ5, Great People are spawned after you earn a certain amount of Great Person Points (GPP). Once you have enough of these GPP, the game will spawn a Great Person, and the GPP pool empties afterward. So it essentially spawns Great People randomly (with accordance to what Great Slots you have available). Great Slots are created when you construct certain buildings and wonders.

Depending on what speed you plan on, I'd say a Great Musician wouldn't spawn until maybe the Renaissance Era, which may be ~100+ turns on standard I believe.

Thanks for the advice once again pal. Yep I've definitely enabled the mod because I enable it in exactly the same way that you've posted. I actually spent about 4 hrs yesterday trying to get it to work but to no avail. I'm like a dog with a bone though and I certainly won't give up trying. I'm determined to get this to work because it looks like a fantastic mod. One last question mate...Does a great musician have to spawn in the game for this mod to work? If that's the case then roughly how many turns can this take? It might just be that I'm not giving it enough "game or turns" for the mod to activate?..( I've only played upto about 20 turns and I don't hear your music) ..Sorry for the questions but I'm a newbie to CIV V. Thanks again for your patience in helping me to get your mod up an running for me..Cheers mate

@Adger If that's not the case, then maybe try downloading my mod directly from this link:
http://steamworkshopdownloader.com/view/958046730
Sometimes Steam has trouble downloading big files from the Workshop and files may become corrupted along the way. You'll then have to manually install the mod (plenty of guides available online).

Let me know if any of this worked for you. Hope you're able to get it working mate :)
