Mascarade CS [Complete Scripted]

Description
Welcome to Mascarade!

Mascarade is a character-based bluffing game for 4 to 13 players (maybe some day TTS will support more than 10...) in the vien of Coup or One Night Ultimate Werewolf. It's like the two games had a baby, and sent it back in time to 16th century Italiy (I think that's where masquerade balls were popular? Idk, maybe it was France)

Each player has one face-down Character card. During the game, the players will swap characters and no one is ever sure of the card they have in front of themselves! The object of the game is to use the powers of the characters to obtain 13 coins.

The Script allows you to either jump right in with a randomized Quick Start, or you can click the cards to select which characters you want in the game then click Start.

Included Characters
  • Necromancer
The Necromancer reveals the top card of the Cemetery and immediately uses its power.
It then returns the character’s card to the bottom of the Cemetery deck.

  • Fool
The Fool receives a coin from the bank and swaps – or not – the cards of two other players, under the table and without looking at them.

  • Spy
The Spy secretly looks at their card and another player’s card (or a card in the middle of the table) before swapping their card – or not.

  • Princess
The Princess gets 2 coins from the bank.
She then chooses a player who must show their Character card to the other players, without looking at it themselves.

  • Bishop
The Bishop takes two coins from the richest of the other players. In case of a tie, the Bishop chooses from which player the two coins are taken.

  • Inquisitor
The Inquisitor points at another player. That player must then
announce what they believe to be their character, and then reveal their card.
If they are wrong, they must pay four coins to the Inquisitor. If they aren’t wrong, the power has no effect.

  • Beggar
Each player richer than the Beggar must give her one coin.

  • Witch
The Witch can swap all of her fortune with that of another player of their choice.

  • Gambler
The Gambler takes 3 coins from the bank and hides 1, 2, or 3 of them in her fist.
She then chooses another player who must guess the number of coins.
If the player guesses correctly, that player wins the coins. If the player gets it wrong, the Gambler wins them. Any remaining coins are returned to the bank.

  • Thief
The Thief takes one coin from the player to their left and one coin from the player to their right.

  • Peasant
The Peasant receives a coin from the bank. But if both Peasants are
revealed during a given turn, they both receive two coins from the bank. From unity lies strength!

  • King
The King receives three coins from the bank.

  • Damned
    The Damned cannot be announced.
If revealed, the player is immediately eliminated from the game and the Damned is removed from the game.

  • Cheat
If they have 10 coins or more, the Cheat wins the game.

  • Usurper
The Usurper chooses a player and attempts to guess their character.
The chosen player’s card is then revealed.
If it’s the character announced by the Usurper, the Usurper uses their power as though it was his own

  • Courtesan
The player to the right of the Courtesan reveals their card.
If it’s a male character, they give three gold coins to the Courtesan.

  • Patron
The Patron gets 3 gold coins from the bank, and the players next to him each get 1 gold coin from the bank.

  • Puppet Master
The Puppet Master chooses two players and takes a gold coin from each.
The two chosen players must get up and switch places.
Their Character cards and their fortunes remain in place.

  • Queen
The Queen receives two coins from the bank.

  • Judge
The Judge takes all the coins (fines) currently on the courthouse board.

  • Widow
The Widow receives coins from the bank to bring her fortune up to 10 coins in
    total.

  • Alchemist
The Alchemist chooses a direction (left or right), then all players hand their fortune to the player next to them in that direction.

  • Sage
The Sage gets 1 gold coin from the bank and looks at the cards of two other players of his choice.

  • Actress
The Actress uses the power of the last character to have been played, as though it was her own.

The Coins are from Spadie's RPG Coin Collection 2.0 - check 'em out.

Works great. The scripting works a treat and we had a good few game at this with about 6 players. Lots of fun.

Yeah the game was designed for 4+ players, thoug hyou could technically play with less. I've replaced the descriptions so it doesn't say Gold coins anymore.

in my games we are not using the 5 (1coins), also, they confuse people, since thief says "take 1 GOLD coin...), please remove gold coins
