Description
The Battle of Carentan, 10-15 June 1944

To consolidate both Utah and Omaha beaches and create a solid defense against German counterattacks, Carentan had to be arrested from the bad-a** Fallschirmjager(airborne), so the Allies sent in some of their bad-a** airborne, and thus a bloody battle between (mostly) airborne baddies ensued. (2 Ost Battalions and some stragglers from the 352nd participated, and 17 SS got there a little on the late side...)
