Peasant's revolt

Description
The year is 1525. Throughout the largest part of the Middle Ages the common rabble has suffered at the hands of abusive nobles or landlords that couldn't protect them. The clerics as well have made their lives a living hell. They preached in an uncomprehensible language and imposed limitations on everything. Even worse, they are supposed to live in poverty as the Holy Bible stipulates, but in fact they live in a state of excessive wealth.

But these times are now gone. Martin Luther, a young theologist is preaching reform, the bohemian hussites have openly rebelled against both the Holy Roman Emperor and the pope. The peasants have revolted against nobility in England in the 14th century so why couldn't the Germans do the same? A new hero has entered the scene: Florian Geyer von Giebelstadt.

This minor noble has served as commander and has been won to the lutheran ideas. He has hastily assembled a company of soldiers consisting of trained peasant's and some footknights. The Black Company (der Schwarze Haufe) is now ready to wreak havoc in the German countryside. But reports claim that a coallition of imperial nobles has arrived to quell the rebellion. Florian Geyer must now ensue the survival of his comrades at arms.

Trivia:
Florian Geyer is known majorely because of imperial historians and a German folk song namely "Wir sind des Geyers scwarze Haufe"

The 8th SS cavalry division was named after him during World War II

Florian Geyer was stabbed to death by two servants of his brother-in-law

His legacy was sentenced to a damnatio memoriae. Everything was done to ensure that he would be forgotten through history. This has obviously failed
