Amphion is proud to present the latest in disaster-survival/rescue craft -- The Skipjack -- built for improving the safety and survival rate of crew stranded in space or on lunar locations. The skipjack is very energy efficient for the amount of space it takes up, coming with energy efficiency modules lining its main production equipment.

The Skipjack is a simple craft, meant to be used in real multiplayer scenarios. It is capable of landing on moons and reaching escape velocity quite easily. Its unburdened mass is a mere 191,000kg, which is substantial for a craft carrying a refinery, an oxygen generator and tank, two batteries, a host of thrusters and all that is needed to survive in space.

By Amphion standards, it is still a barebones vessel even with all of the amenities.

The Skipjack is built to be deployed from a number of larger craft with merge block/connectors set up.

Behind the Name

The Skipjack is the lifeline species of Tuna for many fishing communities around the world. It can be found across the globe. It's a pelagic species that is both as important for sea life as it is for humans. They largely feed on smaller fish, cephalopods, crustaceans, and molluscs

Unfortunately, in Southeast Asia, and across the globe, there is a fair amount of tributylin contamination in the livers, but TBT regulations in Souteheast Asia are less rigorous than other parts of the world. Tributylin is used in anti-fouling paint on ship hulls. TBT has been determined to be very toxic but is concentrated in their livers. In other words, don't eat tuna liver.

As with all Amphion craft, all vanilla, all the time!
