My favourite matrix scheme BUT it stutters and crashes often so can't really use it

I've noticed stuttering on a few occasions myself. I believe that it's due to the way the characters are being rendered (using HTML5 Canvas). One thing I've added to alleviate this a bit is the ability to change the size of the characters, which in turn, can reduce the number of them being drawn on screen at once.
