Mixtour

Description
Mixtour is an abstract two player game by Dieter Stein.

Rules:
Mixtour is played on a 5x5 grid. There are 20 stackable playstones (shaped like plant pots) for each side.

Goal of the game is to be the first to build a tower of 5 or more stones with your own color on top.

You start with an empty board. On your turn you can either place a stone or move a tower of stones.

Placing a stone:
● A stone can be placed on any empty field of the grid.

Moving a tower:
● Towers are stacks of stones on the grid consisting of one or more stones.
● Towers can be moved orthogonally and diagonally.
● Towers can only be moved over empty fields. You cannot pass a tower if it is in the way of your desired movement.
● Move of a tower must end on top of another tower.
● You do not need to move a whole tower. Pick from the top of the tower you want to move as many stones you like or the whole tower.
● The towers you move do not need to be of your own color, you can move any tower.
● You can move a tower on top of a tower of any color.
How far you can move a tower is determined by the stack size of the destination tower!

You are not allowed to revert a previous move of your opponent!

Doing a move is mandatory (zugzwang)! If you run out of stones you have to move a tower within the limits of the rules even if that means that you lose. If you cannot move a tower by the rules you must pass your turn. If both players cannot make a legal move the game is a draw.

@Oportet
I once played QBQ with someone and struggled to come up with the word "orthogonally", so I thought it would be the reference to that as a joke. I am wondering why you gave me a "+1" for the use of this word.

@FragaholiC I don't know what QBQ is, so I'm going to guess no. It was probably my evil twin, Steve. He's evil.

@Oportet
Did we play QBQ together?

+1 for use of "orthogonally" in description.
