Description
Simply makes Skyrim horses as 'hardy' as the description tells. Unlike most Horse mods out there, this does not increase their move speed.

What it does:
- Base Health Increased (250 -> 300).
- Base Stamina Increased (100 -> 300).
- Base Stamina Regen Increased (10/s -> 30/s).

Different types of horses (including unique) inherit these changes then calculate the final stats with the vanilla rates.

I decided to do this quick mod because I was tired of having to rush the Dark Brotherhood just to get a decent horse. When I saw that all the current horse mods increase movespeed and make them unkillable I figured I needed to just make my own. It just tweaks the horses to better fit the description of "hardy Skyrim steeds" without breaking the game.

Hope others find this as useful as I did!

I like this idea. It always seems too much of a cheat to me to have unkillable horses, and I find them fast enough.

I think that eventually somebody should make the horses bigger and look more majestic and fix the combat on the horses.

I can't shoot anything unless it is in attacking range.

Adoring this mod, especially due to the fact it doesn't increase the speed. ((Because yes, as 'slouu' as the horses are, it is exceptionally realistic. Honestly, have any of these gamers here even even ridden a horse properly at the canter/gallop? Or even, uuithout stirrups?)) But point is! Love! I keep getting attached to my horse just to have her go *poof* on me from some damn dragon. Thanks for this!

Works perfect with Faster Horses, two simple mods working in perfect harmony, terrific!

You should up the speed by 10-20% atleast. Because the vanilla horses are so slow they're not worth buying. Hardy is all great but my horse dying is never a problem, but getting me somewhere is.

I haven't actually tested it with followers, or with the AFT script that lets them ride as well. If I run into any problems I'll try to get some specific information for you, but as you said, there doesn't seem to be any reason they should conflict. Probably just a personal problem resulting from my ridiculous cocktail o' mods.

Follow up: *Something* I did royally screwed up AFT in my last game. Probably one of the mods I downloaded recently; I'm running over 150 of the damn things, you'd think I'd be smart enough to just leave well enough alone when I can get them all to play nice for one character.

At any rate, I ended up having to uninstall some mods and wipe all my saves (just starting a new game seemed to carry the damage over from the save files somehow), and upon doing so I figured, "what the hell?" Turned off BH, moved AHH to the bottom of my load order and all of a sudden it works again; horse I jacked ran solid from Riverside to just shy of the Eastern Watchtower.

I don't begin to understand what the problem might have been and I'm not about to poke around in an effort to find out. Despite my penchant for constantly fiddling with new mods, I'm at least smart enough to not look a gift horse in the mouth (pun intended).

Thanks for the info, BeholdTheHair!. I'm not entirely sure how Better Horses plays nice with it while my mod does not, but I'll look into it.

Damn it all. I've absolutely no idea how, but Amazing Follower Tweaks seems to have permanently screwed up AHH in my game. Upgrading to 1.5 via Nexus didn't help, nor did messing with my load order, nor even deactivating/uninstalling AFT altogether. I was able to get around it using Better Horses , which lets you change horses' stats in-game to achieve mostly the same effect (only drawback being it doesn't let me change the stamina regen rate as this mod does).

Of course I don't expect Roundaround to be able to fix problems I've run into with other mods. Just wanted to let others know AFT may not play well with AHH. It does seem to work fine with BH, though.
