Description
Dynamic Combat Ops is a randomised, replayable scenario that focuses on combined arms operations.
Select your AO location, the factions you want to use and your platoon makeup or leave them all randomised and see what mission you are sent on.

The sister mission to Dynamic Recon Ops, DCO is intended to take the design philosophy behind that mission and expand it to cover the full range of combined arms scenarios. With a better equipped enemy force and a larger number of objectives to tackle, selecting and utilising your platoon as a commander may be the key to victory. However, if you prefer to be a cog in the war machine rather than taking a command role, your platoon have support menu options allowing you to call them into battle and let them proceed from sector to sector autonomously.

As with DRO, DCO is designed to be simple to use but with plenty of options to customise your mission setup. The objective behind DCO is to create a way to quickly get playing a new scenario in singleplayer or co-op and has been designed from the ground up to take advantage of faction mods. If you have any mods that create new factions they will be selectable as player or enemy sides within the mission. However, the scenario itself requires no mods apart from specific terrains if you want to use them.

Features
  • Playable in SP or COOP
  • Dynamic scripting means that no two missions are the same
  • Select a platoon to command using the High Command interface
  • Menu on startup to select a variety of options including time of day
  • Revive system that takes visual cues from BIS revive but is fully AI compatible and works in both MP and SP
  • Virtual Arsenal to select starting loadout for both player and AI units
  • 'Reset AI' diary entry to unstick AI units
  • 1-2 hour estimated duration

I'm at a loss here. I get the observe missions now and then, but I can't seem to complete them. I'm fairly certain that I'm not doing it right, but I'm clueless as to where I can understand how to do them

Well, these missions are fun but those ZSU nests that just decide to spawn in. First, they're ridiculous because you can't get within a click of where they are without being deleted unless you have an MBT. Second, the randomizer tends to spawn 5-10 of them on top of each other, which lags everything out. The ZSU nests should have, at most, two Shilkas. If those problems can be fixed, then this scenario would be perfect.

While I'm a big fan of the mission, civilians have never actually shown up in any of the Dynamic Ops missions. Does anyone else have this problem?
