Immortality Trait (Variant) (1.4.1)

Description
As requested; an alternative to my immortality trait, this version is the same apart from 2 things:

1. This version can be added from the new game menu as with any other trait. (with reduced description)
2. With this version there is a possibility that other species in your game will spawn with the trait.


Trait cost = 0

Effects:
+10,000 years to lifespan of leaders. Affects all leaders (ruler, scientists, admirals, etc)
+20% Growth time*
-30% Leader XP gain*

To use in a new game, just select it from the trait list as you would with any other trait.

To use in a current game, open up the console and type add_trait_species [species_id] trait_immortality2. It might be necessary to save the game, and then reload the save to make sure that it updates properly. Easy way to check if it's working is to hover over a leaders age on the leader page and look at the percentage chance of death.

The species ID will usually be 0 if you are using this for your own species. (add_trait_species 0 trait_immortality2)
If this doesn't work for you, check your species ID by entering debugtooltip into the console and then hovering over your species info.

Hey Admiral! Are you planning on releasing a Banks-compatible version of this mod anytime soon? I'm kinda missing something without it ^^.

Like this with the negatives. As a note, you should edit it so that you can't also pick the negative lifespan trait. As is it kind of gives you a free +1 to pick -15 years with the immortal.

Yeah I went and verified before wanting to pester modders. Alas, all was well.

Yeah, forcing it the generic icon... hopefully should do it. Or just copying the icon, renaming it and bundling it in. :D

I've not encountered this before. There is no icon defined in my code so it defaults to a generic one in gfx. Since you got the error for more than one mod, it might be worth verifying your game files to ensure you haven't got any missing or corrupted game files.

I'm not good with graphics at all so I won't be creating a new icon, however since the error looks like it's searching for a seperate icon I might update the code to explicitly link to the generic icon it should already be using.

I like the premise, but I played for a little bit with it on and using it and then got a crash
Last error in the error.log is:
[22:28:54][texturehandler.cpp:171]: Texture Handler encountered missing texture file: gfx/interface/icons/traits/trait_immortality2.dds
[22:28:54][texturehandler.cpp:317]: Couldn't find texture file: gfx/interface/icons/traits/trait_immortality2.dds.
(Was also complaining about Dedicated World's Ecumenopolis Preference though, there's about 30 lines of those two sets of errors alternating for the 12 minutes I played)

Soooo.. would it be possible for you to update it to have its own spiffy icon? :)
