Guide to Duos

In this guide I will explain to you some of the best strats and tricks to assist you in making something out of that unfavorable $15 well now $25 purchase of this game(just kidding it's pretty great once you're good). Over the time that I've played The Culling I've noticed some great ways to make sure that you, and your Battle Buddy will be victorious in this stressful as ♥♥♥♥ game named The Culling. I may not have the most no life hours you've ever seen in this game. I also don't have the level or stats of a virgin-til-40 in game, but I do have enough to be happy to say that I've wracked up some half decent stats so far. So lets get started in this cancer of a guide my doods.

Intro
So like I said this is a guide for teaming, and not for genuine gameplay. If that's what you were looking for then I recommend this guide right here:

http://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=764659833

Out of all the guides I've read it is the very best. It is perfect for everything to get you started, and prepared for the intense experience you're about to jump into to. If you're all set with individual play, and are looking for a bit a more to get you and your buddy ready to work together to achieve great success then this is for you guys. We'll go over 2 different types of teams here: Teaming with a buddy you know and teaming with a random. It will go in that order so whichever you are looking for you will find it there.

And hopefully what you are about to read will enable you to finally see this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ impossible as hell to obtain message.

Teaming With a Friend.
This is for those who don't experience this unfortunate event, and have voice communication(discord, skype, TS, etc.) with their teammate.

  • First thing you should keep in mind when you jump in game is that you will never spawn right next to your teamie. The game has a great way of saying, "Hey you wanna play your friends? Well ♥♥♥♥ you, and your buddy!" You will usually spawn in within 200-60ish meters of each other. Obviously the closer the better. I usually find myself and my teammate spawning in within 300-600 meters of each other. So once you acknowledge how close to your teammate you are you can prioritize. The closer they are the less you have to worry about getting individually prepared for battle with gear because the less likely you are to run into somebody in between you, and your teammate.
  • So as soon as you get out of your pod you should should craft a weapon, I usually just craft a knife and get moving. From there you want to find the nearest place to loot or get airdrop if you have an early game, and your pad is right there(i stay away from those). If you have an airdrop immediately head fromt here to your buddy. If you don't well then you should loot the nearest building, and whether or not you getting a weapon doesn't matter at that point. You grab what you can, recycle what you don't need, and move. And remember whether or not you had a gun in the place you looted and any other places you loot with or without your teamie... this comes in handy later on.
  • Once you and your buddy meet, establish one thing... who has more func. Whoever has more func at that point you will continue to stack with func until he/she have at least 100 or 150. This means if you have 30 func and your buddy has 17, every place you and your buddy loot he will toss you items that you guys will recycle and you will recycle them. This also means any func barrels or bones/corpse, and all that nasty ♥♥♥♥ you find you will be the one who gets the func from it. The point of this is so that one of you get stacked on func, and at least one of you will get their airdrop(usually should be mid-match if using the strat) or a gun. That's why you remember gun locations, so that you can always come back and grab the gun once you've looted enough for it. You obviously don't want a situation where the both of recycle whatever you get and each end up with 60 func. YOU WILL BOTH DIE WITH THAT 60 FUNC BECAUSE YOU DIDN'T HAVE ANYWHERE USEFUL TO SPEND IT!!!. So this way you're better off only one of you getting the 120, but atleast you can call in an airdrop.
  • One more thing to keep in mind it to always share loot, if you have an extra backpack or armor, ask your teammate if he needs it. Just because you found two tier 2 in your loot spot it doesn't mean your teammate did too. So always try to keep your buddy equally stacked as yourself. Keep in mind he is the only one on your side, and the only who should also have his best interests in mind. If he's smart he realizes you're his second half so he'll keep you stacked too.
  • Now throughout this entire ordeal keep in mind that one thing will help a ♥♥♥♥ ton, and that's kills. Kills will give you other players loot, little bonus perks that are a huge help, and 70 func per kill. What my friend and I usually try to do is share kills, so if we are fighting a team of two if I kill one I will run and help him, but just lower the other guy enough so that my buddy gets the kill. This way if these were the first two guys we fought, and killed we each would get the +10 health perk and 70 func. Remember to fight smart. If you are fighting another team of 2 try and each get one guy, and keep that guy away from your teammate, so this way your teammate doesn't find himself getting anal probed with the sword of the dude you were and taking some hardcore backstab damage... all because you couldn't keep him off your buddy. Now let’s say you cannot keep him off your buddy, MAKE CALLOUTS. Say, " He's coming to you don't turn around so he doesn't get the backstab." Lastly, don't jump into fights for no reason, avoid fighting. This isn't Call of Duty, you can't just run up on somebody, kick their ass, teabag them, and then run off screaming to you teammate, " Yo I just ♥♥♥♥♥♥ that guy up so hard!! He took my mlg ♥♥♥♥ up his tight ass!" No.. stop it.. you can't do that here. Try and lurk, stay in the shadows, always try and get the jump on the other guys, and if you see a fight going on let it happen and hop in and finish off the last guy once it’s done. If you see two dudes fighting and they're both on low health. Jump in so you and your teammate can still get an easy kill each. This sorta brings us into the next part.
  • DON'T wear the flashiest ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ most retarded clothes you can. You can't lurk wearing a full purple suit, you will pop right of the green on Island. You and your teammate should both wear woodland leaf clothes if you're going for wins. believe or not it is actually useful in this game. Everybody is constantly stressed out, tense, and trying to get out of their current area so much they will literally overlook you. So keep that in mind, but also don't make the same mistake... keep eyes out all the time.
  • One thing you should never forget about is using the environment. You can use gas tanks as an escape plan. If you trigger it they will have to run, and may take some damage. The red barrels placed around the map that you can craft ammo with do explode. You can shoot them with your bow and do some hefty damage. The gas tanks can also be triggered with a bow. If you want to you can easily clear a location of players by shooting that. The bridges on Island. can be collapsed with bow shots, they are a great way to run away from someone. if they chase you, you can shoot down the bridge, and they will either fall to their death or will lose a fat chunk of health.
  • At this point we are in late game. You and your buddy each have airdrops or guns, or whatever you need to be set. Always make sure you keep playing grounds even or have an upper hand. So make sure to both have long range weapons, but also have melee. You can keep some stims and bandages on you for combat. You need a mantracker at this point in the game. While it may seem insignificant, it's not. It isn't your #1 priority, but it is up there. At this point in the game your opponents probably have one, and know where you are. That's why you need one too, you want to be able to be one step ahead of them. You can either play hunter or hunted. Now hunted isn't as bad in this game as in others. You tend to be better off with them coming to you. You can set up a good spot where you can get the jump on them. Always make sure not to block yourself in. If they have better loot than you, and you get in the corner of a building with only exit and they're blocking your only way out... you're dead. You need to be able to run if you have to. So if you choose to play as hunted, have a plan b. Oh and don't the idiot running around the culmination like a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ moron acting like tough ♥♥♥♥ screaming, "I'M A ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ GOD!!!" You are out in the open, visible, an easy shot for somebody with a gun or bow, and easily found. There is no element of surprise. So that one team who read this guide and used the element of surprise will ♥♥♥♥ your tier 4 ass up with their tier 3 'cause the weren't being ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about it.
Teaming with a random
I know the first part of the guy was a bit long, but I promise the rest will be short and sweet. The first part was the setup for the whole game. These last two are work off of that, and are pretty much the normal culling game I described earlier just with some different scenarios.

In this scenario you have sadly found yourself craving a late night snack called The Culling. None of your friends are on or want to play so you gotta go in alone to make the temptation go away... then again you can just go to bed... but no...you can't do that... you just have be different don't ya Jimmy? You little ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bastard... ugh.. fine... I'll tell you whatcha gotta do.

It's pretty simple actually. As soon as you spawn in you say hi. Hopefully they respond. If they don't you tell them that the key to talk to you is Y. The goal here is communicate thoroughly in short, and quick messages. It has to be simple. You can do, "Yo let’s run south there's some guys 99+ we should go kill them." you say "Follow. we gonna hunt." you can't say, "Come to me as soon as you are done looting because we needa meet up." you say, "Lets meet asap" You get the point right. And the rest you simple gotta transfer as much from the last part of the guide as you can into this match:

  • Share loot
  • Loot Quick
  • Play like scavengers
  • Meet asap
  • Lurk
  • Communicate
  • Use the Environment

Do as much of it as you can. I acknowledge they won't give up his func to you like you would with a bro. I also know they may be wearing a flashy af outfit, and may charge in and attack just about anything that moves. But you gotta work around that as much as possible, and work with them. Also try to rely less on them than you would on a friend. You can't be as reliant on somebody who can barely type than somebody who are constantly on the mic with. Like let’s be honest we've all had those games were the random just doesn't even talk. I've ran into players who don't even know how to. So they are more likely to fail you than somebody you have instant communication with at all times. That's all there is to it.
Conclusion and extra Tips.
In this section we're gonna finish up with some extra things to keep in mind, and some little tips and tricks.

  • If you kill you teammate it gives you health, and a perk. If you and your teammate are both at 20 health, and know that the guy will kill you both. It may be worth one of you killing the other. This way one of you can get health, and a perk to finish him off. I've never done this, but it may work for you.
  • Item crates are the greenish color crates that have a 50% chance to give you any tier 2 weapon, a 25% chance to give you a tier 2 bow, and a 25% chance to have an explosive in them.
  • Explosive crates are the red colored crates. They have a 50% chance of having any tier 3 weapon, and a chance of containing other high-tier ranged weapons and items(hemo blast and crafted armor). You can open them with any explosive. So you could set up a mine and throw something at it. Or you could blow it up with c4. Pretty much anything that goes boom will open it.
  • The loot express crates that drop at various areas in the map contain tier 4 weapons, a stim, and some armor(which I believe is tactical).

  • You should also go into your settings and raise your FOV to 100. This will let you see more of your surroundings, and not have your opponents constantly jumping out of your frame.

To close things up I'd like to say that I feel your best chances at winning are with one other partner who you have voice communication with. The culling is a game of strategy. My guide may not be the one that works for you. You may be better off playing as a trapper, or jumping right into fights. This guide is the way my friend and I win games. We play slow, steady, and tactically.

Thank you very much for spending time on my reading my Guide to Teaming in The Culling I wish you the best of luck in the arena, and hope this guide helps you get some wins. Because we're all tired of seeing this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ message whenever you are in the final 2.

If you think of anything I should add, or I made any mistakes on this guide, it would be much appreciated if you informed me in the comments so I can fix it. Also please do leave some feedback in the comments, and rate too. See you in The Culling competitors.
