Description
The Yorktown Class was Star Fleets first cruiser and full fledged battleship that measured equal to it's allies top line warships. It was the largest vessle in the fleet at the out break of the war and would was built off of the lessons learned by the NX class, replacing it as the flagship class for Star Fleet.

I was refering to the Earth-Romulan War, sorry for the mix up with the Kelvin... didn't think it was that deep lol.
