"Something different this time!
This is an original character of mine from a lore-friendly originial story/fanfiction of mine that I wrote, which is written to fit within Elder Scrolls lore. I commissioned this piece last year to finally give Vriinja the proper illustration she needs.
And let me tell you, the artist is absolutely amazing! The artist is MyCKs, and she has incredible talent. When I commissioned her, I knew I'd be getting a painting I knew I'd adore. But she blew it out of the park with this painting of Vriinja.
Just the size of the fire-spell Vriinja wields in this piece shows the amount of power behind her magic. Yes, Vriinja is a powerful spellsword. She has to be if she is to protect the Serpent King, since it is her sworn duty as the last Dragonguard to serve the throne of the Empire. Ah, and let's not forget that legendary weapon she wields. As part of the story, I created a legendary weapon that she receives in the first chapter, a sword forged from the bones of an ancient dragon that once terrorized the northern lands of Elsweyr and the southern lands of Cyrodiil. Magrus' Indignation is a weapon said to have slain over a thousand dragons, and which can only be wielded by Magrus' Champion themselves.
I adored this piece when I first pulled it out of it's protective case...I still adore it to this day as it stands framed on my dresser. It still hasn't lost its 'wow' factor with me. And I hope that all you Elder Scrolls fans can find something to be amazed about this artwork as well.
