Clockwork Wars [scripted]

Description
About the game

Clockwork Wars is an epic board game of conquest, discovery, and espionage from Eagle-Gryphon Games. In Clockwork Wars, 2-4 players command a unique race of creatures in a tense war set in an alternate universe where magic and steam-era technology collide. Take control of the human "Purebreeds", or one of three hybrid races (Troglodytes, Rhinochs, and Mongrels). Your goal is to vanquish your foes and accumulate the most victory points through seven turns of play. You earn points by fighting for control of territories that contain valuable natural resources. To win these battles, you need manpower gained by seizing villages and developing them into cities. Invest in research and discover astonishing new technologies, like magical Golems, an Analytical Engine, and the wondrous Spire of the Gods. Position your troops, research powerful discoveries, employ espionage, and conquer your enemies to win the game!

This mod is a scripted version of Clockwork Wars mod by Odendo: http://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=852077603

I fixed the discovery tile issue, added content from the sentience expansion and updated all the content with the designers latest changes listed here: https://boardgamegeek.com/thread/2662019/clockwork-wars-update-print-play-files-available-f

just so you know, not just 1 person is interested in your work/updates ;)

caleb, no, you're doing everything right. There is a mistake in my script (and I knew about it).
This mod is not one of my popular ones. And I decided to make all updates outright.
I will fix this mistake, I will add an expansion (probably as a separate mod) and some other small modifications. For now, just use any substitute for discovery standees. Sorry about that.
Your message encouraged me to make an update. Thank you!

This is incredible. It is functional, the scripting is intuitive, and it really captures the game play of Clockwork Wars. Lots of nice little details like the phase marker and board randomizer. Thank you!

I am, however, running into an issue with the scripting for the discovery tiles. It places the tiles just fine, but the tile tokens appear to also be randomized, and do no match the tiles that are drawn. Am I doing something wrong?

Not a problem at all. That will give me time to learn some scripting. :)

I have a version up now called Clockwars with Expansion and will be updating that as I make progress with the assets.

joefriendgood, great! That's interesting.
One thing I have to notice - next months I will be busy, so if you want to make it fast you should not rely on me. I will make this expansion when I have plenty of time, but as I said it can take months.
Anyway, if you make a file with all of the new assets I will gladly look through and assemble it.

Hey cryptosha, I have everything from the expansion added except the tiles. Those will be next week. So the grunt work is almost done. Are you interested in adding scripting and a spot for a 5th player on the board? Those items are beyond my skills...

I will give it a shot. The expansion really is great. One thing I noticed is that the discovery tokens do not match the discovery cards when you do the random card function.
