[LW2] nSquad

Description
While planning my Long War 2 campaign I decided I wanted some new squad icons that better fit in with my playstyle. I like to have numbered squads to start and then make teams of veterans with a specific focus, giving them a more unique icon to stand out. With that in mind I made nSquad so anyone else who likes the idea could use it too! Included are generic XCOM squad icons from 1-9, though I am open to adding more should the need arise.

Also included are three (for the moment) more unique icons that link to specific squads I had in mind:

Squad 47 - Samurai
"Without honour there is no victory."

Formed by Ashikaga "Katana" Nori when she became a veteran, the Samurai are an assault squad that prefer stand-up fights to striking from the shadows. As such the squad usually comprises members who fight best out in the open, from grenadiers to those with a more melee-focused combat style.

Squad 101 - Nightwolves
"In and out."

The Nightwolves are a specialist infiltration squad, headed by Jack "Shadow" Hunter. Their modus operandi is to get in, do the job, and get out quietly with a minimum of fuss. In keeping with this, Nightwolves tend to number those with a stealthy focus, and the squad itself is usually one of the smaller in the XCOM force.

Squad 33 - Hard Six
"Sometimes you gotta roll the hard six."

When you absolutely, positively, need the job doing no matter the cost, you send in the Hard Six. Comprised of XCOM's most experienced soldiers, the Hard Six is headed up by Grigory "The Gambler" Sokolov. Any soldier can join the Hard Six as long as they prove themselves among the elite and are willing to follow the squad code: "The job gets done."

Squad 42 - Wardens
"Defensor."

Adhering to their latin motto, meaning defender, the Wardens are called into any situation where civilian lives are in danger. They are the first response to alien reprisal attacks and specialise in evacuating any non-combatants from a battlefield and neutralising the threat. The Wardens are led by Robert "Limey" Thompson.

@Gandoolf: Especially given there's plenty of War Crimes to go around on BOTH sides of WW2, what with the firebombing of Dresden, Starving an entire Ukrainian City to death, Dambusting (using Natural Disasters as a weapon is a War Crime), and.. oh yeah, dropping an atomic bomb on a country that was already going to surrender due to the hundred thousand Russian troops in China at the time.

And that's all stuff the ALLIES did.

Symbols or not, No one came out of WW2 with clean hands. No one comes out of ANY War with clean hands. And not learning from your history, or admitting it EXISTS is dooming yourself to repeat it.

BTW, that rising sun flag Is equivalent to the German Bundswehr Cross, which they still use, and have used since 1871.

I know right! the flag is still the official flag for the Self Defence Force of Japan and the US frequently do excediste drills with Japan with that flag. If they find the flag offensive just don’t download the mod. I don’t think the author of the mod is celebrating the war crimes during ww2 against Manchurians and Southeast Asians

@Sicat @wjdaudghzzz, @Kor_redsoun4 You guys need some serious history, and reality checks. If you don't like, don't use. But do not dare tell the creator to remove it, when you are in the wrong to begin with!

Please, people, you don't know what you're talking about. The Rising Sun flag has been adopted by Emperor Meiji, and a variant of it is still the flag of the Japanese Army:

I was unaware of the rising sun issue, but to be honest they can always not use that section of the mod. I had a hard drive crash and lost most of my files for this but I will try and rebuild what I was working on to continue it.
