Should be easy if you have the search box mod? Otherwise it tends to appear quite far to the end of the RICO tab.

Just wondering if anyone else has issues with this? Can't find it in game?

Hi Saki :^)
Thanks for the helpful hints - I am using a mod now that lets me keep my buildings (only the ones I want; both custom and Vanilla) in my city.
I might do RICOs again in games I'm not sharing, but have been working on an 81-tile "islands" gamesave that I'm sharing as Non-Rico because a lot of folks I chatted with said they wouldn't sub to a gamesave that had RICO requirements, as they were too frustrated with the present situation,....so I removed all my beautiful Ricos (miss them) and recreated the gamesave for the subscribers .... and then, once subscribed to, a user can always put RICOs in the city if he/she wants .... I even used RICO to set the residential household count on my custom houses and high-rises (just in case someone does want to do RICO, they already have settings for it). but the game will be shared as non-Rico - for the subscribers.
:^)
PS: Hope your computer gets fixed and life becomes good again.

There's mods you can use to make buildings persistent, to avoid them being abandoned and replaced (along with the control level up mod), though I know not why you wish to avoid using RICO (certainly the fixed version). There seemed to be some compatibility issues with unknown mods but there was seemingly no way to narrow down what caused those. If one of the RICO versions work for you, you should use them-- usually I'd just play a different city for a bit when the mods were ruined by an update.

No worries, Saki. Thanks for the information, and my condolences on your dead computer - that's something that I went through and it was NOT a happy time.

I've tried creating 5 of my own highrises (just from Vanilla buildings - and definitely not anywhere near as beautiful as yours) and discovered that, as you said, being a "residential" building rather than a Unique Building does limit the footprint to a dinky little 4x4. Soooooo frustrating......

I also figured out that even though I make Level 5 residentials and plop them where I want them in my gamesave, they still change into other buildings, still level 5s, after a few hours. So I'm dealing with trying to figure out how to stop them from doing that right now. So I totally get where you are coming from.

It would not be to scale if it was a growable, because it limits stuff to 4x4, and it would make it look off. Maybe, but my computer's dead right now, so I can't do anything for a while.

I'd love to see a duplicate of this building but as a Level 5 Residential, High Residential building, rather than a Building, Unique Building.

That way I can create a neighborhood of it in my non-Rico gamesave share to Workshop. As a Level 5 Residential, High Residential building, it would (if the new user did not want RICO on their computer, as some don't) still have households in it and not revert to a unique building with no homes in it. It would , of course, only have 25 households in it till the games new user subscribed to RICO, but at least it would be a residential and already in the game when and if the new user subscribed to RICO.

As it is now, when plopped in a Non-Rico gamesave, it is just a monument that workers and visitors are in --- not a residential building.

Any possibility that you would Asset Editor this building for this purpose?
