A couple of things: One can portal jump into the bounce gel enclosure and easily get the sphere. You should surround that will non-portalable walls to prevent that.
Ironically, the same thing that happened to you in my map happened to me in yours. Faithplates aren't the most reliable things...
Things only really came together for me after I made a exploratory run through it sans cube.
Liked: Good use of a companion cube. Some interesting puzzles.
Disliked: Had to go back to my saved games a couple of times due to faithplates not co-operating. Fortunately, I'm a vehement F6 user.
Liked:
Design. Very clean & nice.
Puzzles (that I could solve) were well done.
Disliked:
I think I sequence broke this map. Found some walls that I could port portals on through some red laser fields. Am I supposed to get into the room controlled by the four buttons? Made it confusing and I think because of this I just got lost as to where to go and couldn't finish the map.
Liked:
Traveling with the cube throughout the map
Very nice, aesthetically
Some interesting, well thought out puzzles
Disliked:
Not being able to see where the cube was going (early in the map. Took me several tries to get everything that needed to be activated)
The 'hidden' cube near the end took me a while to find
The very last cube launcher made it roll right into the water at the landing spot
