Now why would someone want to delete their planets? maybe you subbed or unsubbed or updated mods that changes the worldgen. and if something errors, if it's severe enough, the game will eject you to your own ship in singleplayer. this is how to fix that without loosing mission progress, but loosing what you did on the planets.

i have teleporters that go to the planets that i placed teleporters at, and i still see their tabs. will they still work?
No. if you try to teleport to them, you will get sent back to the ship, and the tag to that world will be automatically removed. unless you kept certain .world files in the origional folder thats not affected by a deleted, or modified mod. good luck trying to identify the world files.

The location of the game files for me is H:\Steam\steamapps\common\Starbound\storage\universe
First, Move the whole universe folder to your desktop. (just in case something goes wrong, you have a backup)

Then Copy everything that doesnt have the word .world in it.

then boot up the game, and it should regenerate the planets, but leaving your stats, missions and the teleshop untouched
