Hey guys!

In this guide I tell you how to install custom maps for the steam version of this game (only tested it with Florida Gold 400x but it should also work for other maps, especially the maps with custom Assets)

If you have SMRI installed as it is told in the SMRI installation guide from 💩 sqrMin1 ( http://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=376252185 ) you don't need the steps 1-5


1. Go to the local files of Sid Meier's Railroads (could be C:\Programs (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Sid Meier's Railroads)

2.Go into the Folder "Assets" and copy everything in there

3.Go to "Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Railroads\CustomAssets" and paste everything you copied before in there

4.Now you go into the folder "Localization" and copy everything in there again

5.Go one folder back to "CustomAssets" and now go into the folder "XML" and paste everything you copied before into it

First steps are done

6.Go to "Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Railroads\UserMaps" and unzip the downloaded .zip file into there

Now you should have your map in there, but you need two more steps or Sid Meier's Railroads will crash when you launch the map

7. Go into the mapfolder and open ALL the .xml files there with the editor

8. Then you just click on save and close ALL again (don't touch anything in it!)

You can do step 7 and 8 all one by one so you don't have all .xml files opened at the same time

Now it should be done and you can enjoy playing the installed map!

In my experience it should work with SMRI
