QR PUZZLE

Description
This is a puzzle for Payday at steamgifts. A QR code scanner and a brain is required.

UPDATE: I added a fizzler to make it easier to scan the QR

Oh, I thought getting info from QR code was needed to solve the bottom puzzle, not the other way around... Mostly because I didn't even know about the picture, let alone it containing the hint (would know the answer 42 and as I'm a programmer, binary would be my first thought).

I love the idea, but no matter how much I tried, I couldn't read the qr code... Tried with my cellphone, tried taking a screenshot, taking out both the crosshair and the notes on the floor, sending it to some online barcode readers, but I couldn't get it to read :(

Try to recreate through gimp or another graphics programm and than use this: http://www.onlinebarcodereader.com/
