Surgery Kit

Description
This mod provides a craftable, intermediate medical kit between the standard medicine kit and the glitterworld medicine kit. This has been updated as its original purpose has been obsoleted by a buff to the normal medical kits. This kit provides 140% medical effectiveness. (Standard kits are 100%, Glitterworld is 200%)


It is intended to use for operations, though still can be used normally (Due to game limitations).
It is created in a two step process and will become available after Medicine Production is researched.

The first step is to create the Surgical Tools at a Machining Table, requiring a crafting skill of 7. The resources are as follows:

- 1x (20) Silver - The antibiotic properties of Silver are well known.
- 1x Plasteel - Scalpels. Anyone who has owned a Plasteel sword can attest to its sharpened capabilities.
- 1x Steel - Used for anything else in the kit.

The second step is to simply combine the surgical tools with a standard medical kit. This can be done at the drug production table. It doesnt require a huge medical skill, as it is simply putting stuff together in a box.

The total production cost is 20 silver, 1 plasteel, 1 steel and 1 medical kit.

The kit will only be used if Glitterworld Medicine is selected in the health tab.

Is there any chance off adding an option to the default medicines menu for the kit?

This is a great solution for those times when you just want to make sure a surgery goes well but don't want to blow through all your Glitterworld meds.

I am honestly not sure. But I'll bring the A16 version back this weekend. It'll just be a DL on the forum post, rather then being here on steam.

Updated and adjusted for 0.17.
- Potency boosted to 1.4, as standard medicine is now 1.0. It is still weaker than Glitterworld.
- Slight crafting skill changes on the Surgery Kit. Now also requires 1 crafting skill level.
- Surgery Tools craft time increased fro 500 to 750. (Still feels real fast in 0.17)
- There is now a post and direct download link on Ludeon forums.

In my opinion you shouldn't change cost.
I think in that way - you gets less then x1.5 quality boost for x3 price and in addition your colonists must spend time for crafting.
It feels very balanced item.
