Filling the role of an interdictor, the Barrier does just what its name implies. An imposing wall between, say, an enemy and a friend. A wall between the foe and their escape. Whatever role you fill, you're going to fill it well.

Armed with anti-ship turrerts, the Barrier excels at interrupting combat standards. Capable of taking a reasonable amount of fire, this ship is oft seen right at the center of the fight, drawing aggro from as many enemies as possible in hopes of minimalizing losses to the other parts of the fleet.
