Total war MP(multi-player) games:
Total war MP games are hosted every week at 16:00 CET on a Saturday and feature a historic playthrough of the mod with most nations being controlled by players, lists for MP games are posted in the discord each Thursday, Everyone is welcome (Via discord link above) players are able to sign up for three nations in the Saturday MP setup channel and will play one of their picks in the MP on Saturday. MP is where the mod is at its fullest and players have the potential to input in the development and balancing in the mod. For multiplayer the game rules 'improved performance' and other rules under the mp category can greatly enhance your session and make sure players follow historical options.

Total War is a project by Stjern who desired a mod that could give players a satisfying historical mod, with smooth gameplay and a competent AI.

The mod has a complete overhaul of all aspects of gameplay and brings it to a complex and historic standard all aspects of gameplay including new units, expanded technologies bringing it to a new level of complex and historic WW2 grand strategy. This mod is meant to be challenging, part of the player experience is to be challenged by the gameplay itself and feel limited in the number of choices you can make, only the right choices can steer you towards victory.

In this mod, you will notice that equipment is much more expensive, this means that the divisions are more precious to the player. No longer will you see Germany have 40 panzer divisions by 1939, it creates a more historical balance to it as production becomes very valuable, and the resources to fuel this production are almost essential to getting a functional army. To aid the player in getting his nation functioning and ready for war, there are focuses, ideas, and decisions to help boost the prosperity of major nations both industrially and militarily.

World War 2 can be called an economic war, and in this mod, you will feel the value of every resource at your disposal, for instance, you will find that as Germany or Italy limiting all exports and creating an inter-axis economy benefits you the most, whereas as the Soviet Union or the United States of America you will find that opening up to trade and protecting the un-synthesizable resources from the Axis Powers is the most beneficial for your country and your faction and overall win a decisive strategic victory!

The Total War dev team has a goal in mind and that is to make the historical immersion mod that is eSports ready, Immersion is very important to us as we are all WW2 enthusiasts, and any suggestions to how this immersion can be improved will be considered and can be entered in the discord. Although, bear in mind that gameplay and balance will always be given priority!

AI in Total War:
While other total rework mods have distanced themselves from the AI and added cheat spawns and virtual boosting of the AI our mod has tried to train the AI in playing the actual game and the mod. Much like the thinking behind the expert AI mod.

AI balance vs players:
The AI gets the modifiers you see in the starting screen of a singleplayer match, and then some of the operational bonuses, for example, the French malaise if Germany is AI, or the Barbarossa bonus for Germany, these buffs are slightly more pronounced for the AI compared to the player to ensure a historic outcome for the player.

AI competence:
The AI is well trained in this mod, you will not get by it if you are used to vanilla so lower the difficulty if you are new to this mod for your own player experience. The AI has a custom division designer that is far more competent than in vanilla, we also have vast overhauls of AI strategy scripts in several key-areas which result in more combat effective AI. AI is also trained to know what techs to take and how to select laws and construct buildings. We have also tweaked AI raining and how it uses the battle plan system.
