Grand Teton National Park

This Grand Teton National Park map has many beautiful handmodeled details, from the dense forests to the snake river bends and the Grand View Point (on a hill just south-west from the start area).

The main composition of the map is based on a heightmap which i almost completely altered to make it suitable for playing. All the rivers, forests and fields have been made to resemble the real park. How the rivers flow and left their marks in the terrain and how forests cover only certain parts of the mountains and hills. All that gives this map a very natural and rough environment.

- 3 in/out highways
- 3 in/out railroads
- 2 boat routes
- 4 airplane routes
- about 200k trees, so there are 50k left for the players to place

visual style:

In this map i have used natural resources in a painterly style which is totally dependant on the Natural Beauty map theme to look good. Choosing a different map theme may make the map look drastically different and subjectively more or less beautiful. Feel free to experiment with combinations until you find the perfect style to play with.

Another amazing map theme is a new one called Monte Belo by Mark Fire. It has 4k rez textures and also works well his High Contrast LUT.
