Description
Did you ever play your first terror mission only to be instantly swarmed and torn to shreds?

This mod raises the civilian and local forces count on terror mission maps (soviettown and town) to 12 civilians and 8 local forces. This change rebalances the terror missions to give the aliens a bit of cannon fodder, so you have more time to prepare for their attack. It also adds to the ambience and makes terror missions feel a bit more different, especially facing Reapers! (don't worry, it's still beatable).

as someone who uses the reaper rebalance mod to make reapers less of an issue to soldiers and more of an issue to civis, this mod scares me lol having much faster zombie output

the problem is that you better pray there are no reapers on terror mission since there could be more than 20+ reaper per map due to the large quantity of civilian. :xenoufo::xenoufo::xenoufo::xenoufo::xenoufo:

ok just a response i really like this mod despite me joking 3 years ago i always thought to myself "huh, if reapers reproduce exponentially shouldnt all terror missions just be you fighting a tidal wave of chitinous rage?" and this mod delivers on this, if you dont actively staunch the death of civvies you could convievably end up with what i had back in the day, being a situation where i opened a door to see a lot of blood 3 reapers and 2 zombies in one room all ready to rip my poor ethiopian heavy weapons guy to shreds. (this is also where the 12 reaper situation came from because i just left that corner of the map alone and unwittingly let all the civvies i was "saving" wonder right into that building until i doubled back with my 8 surviving solders only to realize the depth of my error.)

I had a civi go fucking apeshit with a shotgun murdering 3 reapers. my remaining team surrounded him and kept him alive. Lost two men doing it. Edited the stats of a new recruit to match this heroic civi like id recruited him after the mission. he was a beast

It should be save compatible, since it doesn't really change anything on the strategic map.

Would this be the right place to request guidance/a branch for the purpose of modding crash site missions? I'd like to make normal maps spawn with some additional friendlies only when the player is going after a downed UFO.

Yeah, when you get plasma, civies get Laser, when you get MAG, civies get plasma.
