AS OF 20.06.2023:

THIS FATALLY OBSOLETE ADDON PROVIDES A POOR DESTRUCTION IMITATION OF MODELS FROM Half-Life 2 and Garry's Mod AND IS HERE FOR AN INTRODUCTION PURPOSES, NOT FOR REGULAR USE.

UPDATE DEVELOPMENT STARTED FROM ‎9 ‎February ‎2025 ‎г., ‏‎17:17:15 (exactly the moment the folder with the newest content was created)

THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE UPDATE IS STILL NOT COMPLETE, BUT CONTINUES IN FULL PROGRESS.

20 / August / 2023 - MY MAIN WORKED SSD IS DEAD AND I LOST ALL MY FIRST WORK PROGRESS WHICH STARTED FROM 27 July 2022. ITS A FATALLY TRAGEDY, NEVER DON'T BUY A-DATAs SSD - ITS A F@CKING TRASH. I WILL COUNTINUE MY WORK ON THE UPDATE, BUT RELEASE DATE IS UNKNOWN, SORRY GMODED DESTRUCTION FANS...

EXPECTED KEY FEATURES:
  1. WILL NOT REQUIRE 3RD PARTY AND HL2/Ep1/Ep2/Gmod CONTENT.

  2. WILL NOT BE LUA-BASED (EXCEPT THE SPAWN LIST).

  3. WILL NOT CHANGE THE ORIGINAL MODELS.

  4. EACH MODEL WILL HAVE A DIFFERENT AMOUNT OF HEALTH.

  5. DEBRIS OF EVERY DESTROYED MODEL WILL HAVE ADDITIONAL HEALTH (SPECIFIC TO WHAT STAGE OF DESTRUCTION THE MODEL IS IN).

  6. DEBRIS OF EACH DESTROYED MODEL WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY REMOVED AFTER A CERTAIN REAL TIME PERIOD(OPTIMIZATION IN PROGRESS).

  7. MANY DEBRIS OF EACH BROKEN MODEL HAVE LIMITED PHYSICS(OPTIMIZATION STILL IN DEVELOPMENT).

  8. ALL DESTRUCTIBILITY WILL BE SYNCHRONIZED ON THE HOST(SERVER) SIDE, THE DESTRUCTION WILL BE SEEN TO ALL PLAYERS.

  9. SOME DEBRIS OF THE DESTROYED MODEL WILL BE HAVE INSTALLED ANIMATED PARTICLES ATTACHMENTS.

  10. SUPPORT EXPECTED + STATIC SUB-CATEGORY.
    Static in my (and already your) understanding is when certain parts of the pieces do not move (freeze) after the destruction of the model, such pieces from the main model have collision physics and never disappear if they are not completely destroyed. Such props can be treated in a special way and create interesting things.
    This category of statics includes mainly those models that I considered necessary. After all, it makes no sense to make a bottle, the pieces of which will hang in the air, when, like the bar counter from which this bottle was taken, is better suited to be "frozen" (that is, become static) before / after the destruction(s).

  11. THE WEIGHT VALUE OF EACH PROP AND DEBRIS AFTER DESTRUCTION WILL BE ADJUSTED TO AVOID AN EXCESSIVE LOAD ON THE GAME ENGINE.

  12. CEASE FIRE SCRIPT WILL BE INTRODUCED WITH MY EDIT(I WILL NOT PUT SCREAMERS AND VIRUSES) TO AVOID LOADING THE GAME ENGINE.

  13. MANY EXPERIMENTAL PROPS WILL BE REMOVED (THAT ARE NOW A DEMO OF FEATURES) WHICH WILL BE PUBLISHED SEPARATELY IN THE FUTURE WITH EDIT.

As I described to the guy below, many props do not work as they once did before, and game updates could also have affected it.

One day, most likely by the end of this year (I'm going through hard times now, but everything should be sorted out soon) I'll try to implement at least 50% of the update with major fixes. And I'll also implement building models, which are just a template here for now, with separate addons.
I've got one problem, after destroying a house with any damage, after a while, parts of it are disappearing with debris and everything. I dunno why it happens. It started doing like that less than few days ago

Yeah I understand, after all this is not the final version, the thing I wanted to ask about was that, take for example a house, any of the three variations, if you drop something really heavy on them, instead of breaking into parts and one of the parts of the house getting destroyed, it just straight up despawns, not even leaving debris. I'm asking about the cvars because I thought it was due to some prop limit, and also something IMPORTANT to add, they didn't do that some time ago, if I recall correctly at least 3 months ago no breakable prop would just dissapear.
Did a whole ass destructable town back in the day and it worked wonders! now, should you drop something heavy or blow a dynamite with like 5k damage, they just dissapear. It might be an addon, idk I've been trying deactivating everything but so far no luck!

Glad to hear that at least someone is still interested in progress. Inspires to feats.
At the moment, there are no console variables(CVars) for external adjustment of prop parameters. These parameters, such as the fading time of debris, are set as if inside the model and are changed by third-party software through decompilation of model files, which will be difficult for an ordinary user. But years of various tests have shown me which optimal values ​​are the most optimized, especially for multiplayer, so I will always try to do with a realistic balance for the sake of stability. On the other hand, I sometimes dig deeper and pull up the AI ​​to find opportunities to make an addon with control through CVars(it's hard to say how possible all this will be).
What about static props? In the current variation of the addon, they are somewhat unfinished (like most of them), which can cause great disappointments.

I got a question, first of all amazing work you did here man, I find it impressive that even after losing all that data you are still working on it, unlike some other dipsshits creators that just go "nah, i dont wanna do it anymore" and leave you with all the hype. The thing I wanted to ask is if there are some console commands to make debris take longer to dissapear or not dissapear at all, also, when staticks get like crushed or just damaged in big amounts, they just straight up dissapear, no idea if this is just me or what?
