Shadow Chamber Kill Counter

Description
Tired of trying to keep track of how many aliens you've killed when the Shadow Chamber told you there were 15 at the start of the mission? Of course you are!

This mod tracks those aliens you've killed or mind controlled/hacked so long as they count against the original starting enemies. Just take a look to the right of the "Objectives" label in the top-left of the screen.

And remember: This will only show up AFTER you've built the Shadow Chamber. Gotta keep things fair, y'know.

Red for "still to kill".

Cyan for "mind controlled or hacked". (This will go back to red should the mind control/hijacking status be lost. Sucks, but at least you get to kill it after.)

Grey for "just plain dead".

UPDATE (Sept. 14, 2016): You can now configure the colors for alive, dead, and mind controlled aliens. Details are in the .ini file including the available color choices. Defaults included and match the original release (i.e. grey for dead, red for alive, cyan for mind controlled). Look for the .ini file in a numbered directory under the steamapps\workshop folder, further under a "Config" folder. The name of the .ini file should be XComTacticalHUD_KillCounter.ini.

UPDATE (Sept. 14, 2016): You can now set the bar style to either "count up" or "count down". Note that each version has a different idea of what "dead" and "alive" are. When "counting down" (the default), the blips "left" in the bar are those aliens that are still alive, whereas when "counting up", the blips that accumulate represent dead aliens.

Enjoy!

COMPATIBILITY

- This should no longer be a problem! No classes are overridden and so this should now be more compatible with other mods.

KNOWN ISSUES

- Had to do some fancy footwork tracking Codex units that clone, but, worse than that, there may be issues with counting chryssalids that spawn from cocoons during the mission. But killing the cocoon behaves a-ok and doesn't affect the kill count.

SUGGESTIONS

If you have any for this mod, I'm all ears! Also, if you find any bugs, be sure to let me know, e.g. placement of the tracking bar itself.

does this work with tacticalUI killcounter ?

This mod hasn't been tested with WotC. Maybe I'll get around to that sometime.

@pintocat It kind of works with WotC. The kill counter works correctly when there are no Lost, but when there are Lost the mission ends with half the bars full, even if you kill everything. I'm going to try this mod instead.

Does this work ok with WOTC?

This doesn't quite seem to work. I've hd a lot of missions where I would run into enemies in the fog of war, that weren't spawned after starting the mission, while the kill counter would be completely empty.

Nope. Have a look through the code. The whole reason I made it was unaware of any that existed when the idea was put forth (had found it in a forum and did it all back in Sept of 2016). A duplicate ID is an unfortunate coincidence.

Did you rip this off tactical kill counter??? I'm getting a duplicate ID when having both of them and using alternate launcher

Thanks! It's appreciated! And I might possibly sometimes in the future. Real life currently has a grip on me tighter than any Ethereal...
