HIGHRES BRIEFING

Our raid on the Blue Pearl Port really helped us get back on our feet. We've got weapons and gear, and I've been able to re-establish SatCom. The downside however, is that Ion has used our attack on the port as a pretext to take over pretty much all of Tanoa security. They are now in most towns and cities with more agents arriving daily. I'm starting to think controlling the entire Island was the Ion Objective from the start. In any case our mission is still the same. Find and disrupt all Ion operations on Tanoa. More specifically we need to find out where the Regional Director is operating from. To that end we need additional Intelligence.

Mission

Ion has setup operations in Georgetown and my contacts are reporting that they are occupying one particular compound on the southern edge of town. There are checkpoints and patrols all over inside and outside the city, so you won't be able to get close to the compound if your team is together and fully loaded. You will each have to enter the town separately in civilian clothes to avoid attracting attention. Avoid getting too close to security patrols and checkpoints as they may recognise you. Use alleys and yards if you need to. Make your way to a rendezvous point near the target compound where one of my contacts left stash of weapons and gear. Once you're locked and loaded, expect to be shot at on sight.

Since Ion knows we're in the area, expect heavy security at the location. Before reaching the rendezvous point, you should prepare a diversion elsewhere to draw off some of the troops from the target compound. I've marked an ungarded Ion garage on your map that can be safely destroyed to create just such a diversion. It should reduce the contingent at the target compound, giving you a window of opportunity to breach the compound without much of a fight. But expect those troops to hurry back once you're spotted.

You can attempt to directly hit the compound without causing the diversion, but I recommend against it.

Once you've found some Intel, get to the gas station behind the target compound. Our contact has left a pickup truck that has gas and keys in it. You can also leave on foot if you want to keep a low profile. Either way, reach the extraction point.

Mission Steps

- Plant explosives at the abandoned garage *You don't need to carry explosives*.
- Reach the hidden weapons cache and equip yourselves.
- Detonate the explosives when you're ready to draw off soldiers from the target compound.
- Quickly clear the Ion compound, and grab the Intel.
- Leave the area using by car or foot. Reach the Extraction Point.

Author's Notes :

- When in civilian clothes before equipping your gear, patrols and sentries won't recognise you unless you're close to them. Once you've been spotted you will be fired at on sight. Hiding again should cause the patrols to leave you alone.
- You don't need an explosive satchel or charge to blow up the abandoned garage. It is done via action menu.
- Just approaching the equipment cache will cause you to be automatically equipped and your "civilian" state to cease. There is also an Arsenal box at the rendezvous location.

Thanks for getting back to me. Like your mission, have done all but this one. Not sure what the problem is with this, if I assign a slot for Hum., and he gets there first, when we (SAVE&EXIT) it throws that person back out to the starting point????? Also tried other slots but still same problem.
