Assault guns can be made from old variants of armor, I could still keep the unit as a mix of AT and ART but it's not worth the trouble after all the new balance IMHO.
Motorized Artillery is part of the base game, as will be armored car with the next DLC. Amphibious tanks, check, and with better ideas than mine.
Siege artillery is now a commander bonus (and that makes much more sense).
I still have glider tanks, heavy engineers, assault engineers and the special infantry. But let's face it, it's not worth a mod now.
The more I play with the division designer (and some mods for specific NATO counters, black, red etc.), the less I see the point for my fascist or red guard units.
The state of HOI 4 units today is pretty much what I wanted. I'm very happy with that. Can't wait to see what the future holds for the franchise."
