rp_downtown_v4c_v2_new (Original)

This is the final version of rp_downtown_v4c_v2_new. I've worked on this map for almost a year. And this is my first map I've ever created. I got the idea to start mapping when I played Garry's Mod for over 4000 hours and wanted to get into bigger things. And I noticed all these things in the rp_downtown_v4c_v2 map that I wanted tyo change so I googled how to make a map. And from there I've learned a lot. So I made this map for the community. It's been through a lot and if you look at my workshop there's a very early playtesting version that hardly works. So from there I've created this. Okay enough of the intro, onto the changes.


Building Changes:

One of the things I wanted to change on this map, was make it more suitable for roleplaying. I expanded buildings, and created a few new buildings, created two new tunnels for easier access throughout the map.

Texture Changes:

But that wasn't the only thing I worked on, I wanted to make the map seem more lively and I've updated a lot of the textures to have more cleaner and realistic textures. But I still wanted the original theme of the map, so players are familar with it.

Optimization:

I also noticed that the map was always so laggy, and looking at the map. I've found out that the original creator did almost nothing for optimization. So I've optimized the map as best as I can, and you now get 20-40 more FPS in most areas.

I don't really know what else to say about this map. I just want you guys to enjoy the map. And give me any complaints, suggestions, issues, criticism etc.
