About This Park Project:

I’ve been doing a lot of one-off rides and smaller themed areas with Parkitect lately and it’s been a while since I’ve tried something bigger. When Alpha 3 came out I figured it was time to go back and try to make another full map park. I’m going into this with no direction other than I wanted to fill the map, I wanted to redirect the entrance to a building in the center of the park and I wanted to use the vanilla game with no mods. Beyond that, I’m just making it up as I go along. I don’t even have a name – for now it’s called “Full Park (Alpha 3)”. It will likely be a lot of boxy buildings, decent coasters and weird park layout. We’ll see, I guess. No idea where this will head or if it’ll turn into anything, but I’ve never recorded myself building anything, let alone a full park. I decided to document the “construction” of the park along the way – start to finish, for better or worse.

I play whenever I have a chunk of time to devote to the game. Sometimes it’s 30 minutes, sometimes it’s an hour or two. Construction videos will cover varying sessions and one hour of game time equals 10 minutes of video.

I will make the park file available for download when it is finished.

Well, I finished the park the day before Alpha 4 was released. Heartland Park uses no mods and features 12 custom rides along with the full complement of flat rides. The park currently has a little over 2100 guests. I have hired a ton of workers, but they are not optimized or zoned and all of the rides and the park entrance is priced to zero. Shops and stalls are left at their default. If you’re the type to mess around, getting the operations of the park up to speed could be a fun challenge. If you just like to explore fantasy parks, then this one is ready to go.

Enjoy!
