I finished in 42 days on the third or fourth try, but was annoyed that it wasn't actually fully functional. So I did it again and made it able to support itself (enough power/storage with everyone happy). Took me another 3 tries or so but I eventually did it in exactly 50 days.

...why have I only seen this now? I've been working on a hospital challenge for a while...oh well

An excellent challenge for such an underrated game. I finished it in 37 days second try (it's possible to finish faster -- I made some silly mistakes several times). As others have said, use the resources you have (you've been given a ton of money for a reason), remember to shut off buildings not in use, and to play the intruder airlock game. Personally, I would LOVE to see more challenges like this involving building specialized bases (hospitals, resorts, robot and arms factories, etc).

can you make one were you have no day limit?

You can set all of the airlock have to go through security room first. that way they have to fight guard before go inside

It can be also handled with 10% of guards.

I Watched my starports like a hawk, and when the invaders came, I closed my doors and played "ring around the starbase" with them until they all suffocated. Ended up only taking 2 deaths to them. That may have made it easier.

Thanks for the comment. My best result is 47 days.

Great Challenge. Thank you for sharing.

Got it in 42 days on my 3rd attempt. (Would have been quicker had I realized that I started with GM Tomato).

Keep up the great work.
