Fun with Gravitons

Not long ago, core ore fragments from deep within a planet were discovered to have interesting properties, emitting particles known as Gravitons.

From these, scientists eventually created Graviton Magnifiers, a technology which proved to have numerous applications. The first of these were used in creating anti-gravity elevators, but today a number of different devices have been invented that utilize them.

This handheld device connects with a space station console [eg. can only be used on a player space station] and allows the user to denote whether a selected area that should be effected by the stations gravity field.

The gravmanipulator marks areas with proto-gravitons or 'hoovers' such up. The stations artificial gravity generator is then able to detect and create a stable gravity field within those areas.

Left click turns the selected areas gravity field on, and Right click turns it off. Additionally, by holding Shift you can turn the protective forcefield of a single tile on or all occupied tiles of an object and off with Left click, whilst Shift+Right click cycles the size of the tools selected area for manipulation of the gravity field.

This tool can be constructed at the Graviton Table.

Gravrings and Gravpads objects can be used for construction of graviton elevators. Core Fragments are used in the primary recipe (Graviton Magnifiers) which can be made at the Wiring Station, from which you can make a Graviton Table at the Inventors Table (after its first upgrade.)

Horizontal 'gravrails' can also be constructed at the Graviton Table. A gravrail ranges from 1 to 30 tiles in length (a single recipe.) A Gravrail Control Unit can be interacted with or connected. Both objects automatically send signals to either side to get adjoining gravrails to change direction to match until another control unit is reached.

As an alternative to Gravrings and Gravpads, vertical 'gravshafts' can also be constructed at the Graviton Table. A gravshaft ranges from 1 to 30 tiles in length (a single recipe.) A Gravshaft Control Unit can be interacted with or connected. Both objects automatically send signals to either side to get adjoining gravshafts to change direction to match until another control unit is reached.

Also available are one-way 'force field' door objects. These can only be interacted with to turn on/off from the side that allows you through (unless the object has had its on/off input node wired up.) The direction of the force field has a default determined by the direction of object placement.

These have two inputs and two outputs. The left side nodes are for on/off (true = off or 'open', false = on) whilst the right side nodes are for direction of the force field (true = left, false = right.)

Please note, one of my other mods More Tiles and Greebles is required for the recipes for these objects, as they come in a variety of styles: Titanium, Durasteel, Serence, Geometric, Wave, Opulent, Doom and Executive.
