This mod completely negates fall damage in Starbound as it can be very unpredictable and unforgiving.
If you think it's cheaty, you're not being forced to download it.
I have a version that only reduces fall damage by two thirds here.

v 1.7.1:
* Fixed metadata issue causing crash on load, sorry!

v 1.7:
*Added FU and FR into includes, hopefully sorting any issues with those mods. I've also raised the priority to an okay number just incase. I've tested this myself and should work, let me know ASAP if any issues arise. Thanks again bk3000.

v 1.6:
* Mod now uses a different approach, thanks to bk3000. This should fix the inconsistencies with it working and maximising compatibility.

v 1.5:
+ Priority so this will override any other mods that modify fall damage.

v 1.4:
* Mod compatibility fixed - switched to JSON patch method.

I honestly just gave up and continued using the annoying bouncy effect I have to negate fall damage.

the eithian races (or w/e it's called) is abandoned, so I'd be getting nowhere with it anyway.

Hi Terra, the error suggests, as well as it being the common denominator, that this is that mod at fault so you may get more luck on that mods page - my mod makes no attempt at loading objects and just injects some lua into the player object. Good luck! Sorry I can't be of more help. :)

yeah I noticed some weird issue with literally every fall damage related mod crashing with uh, I think it's eithian races? Whatever mod adds the avikan.

I noticed this in the logs.

the ruin's brain had so many corpses on it before.
now, you can look upon the energy waves and patterns instead of the casualty piles and patterns.

Really helps to not have to worry about falls when you get tech mods that further increase mobility. Higher zoom levels cause performance issues and terminal velocity makes it really hard to determine when to try to counter the fall, and it feels like by the time you get any kind of multi-jump fall damage really shouldn't be a factor.

Super perfect mod, because fall damage on a free-running (as opposed to "cinematic") side-scrollers are out of place.

With this I dont need the Gravity-Null back item, and now can properly swim.
