Frackin' Music

Descriere
Note: Does NOT require FrackinUniverse, but is recommended since most of the music will play on those biomes.

What is FrackinMusic, and why is it so gigantic?

It adds (does not replace) over 250 new songs to your Starbound experience pulled from various copyright-free or royalty-free sources.

Essentially, you'll hear a ton of new music when you explore from all sorts of different influences and moods.

Does not require FrackinUniverse or FrackinRaces as it can function standalone.

This is a CLIENT side mod, not a server side mod. All users wanting to hear the music must have it installed.

I'm really not a fan of this.... Morning Mood? LotR? Zelda? Why? What sense does just pasting a bunch of just random music make? I'm not saying it should be all original work for the mod. I have no problem with pulling from other finished works, but I expected it to be at least in the same vibe as Starbound's actual music. After hearing the classical piece 'Morning Mood' by Grieg ON LOOP 3 times in the same hour, I'm not keeping this.

Some of the songs are really good and fit well into the game, but others are just... Zelda? LotR? Harry Potter? Some songs fit in nicely but the rest feel completely out of place and very easily recognizable. Also the infinite loop gets really annoying to the point that I had to beam up and back down multiple times just to change it because I had to spend too much time on a single place.

The mod could absolutely get better eventually, but as of now it's taking away more fun than it brings :steamfacepalm:

I had to get rid of it because all of the zelda and lord of the rings songs constantly playing on loop were getting extremely annoying

Hello Sayter, thank you for your comment.

Thanks to your comment I was looking at compatibilities one by one and there were no incompatible mods or mods that edited weapons so I started to investigate more.

In the end it seems that mods that touch interface elements can make some weapons useless.
I finally found the cause, the loading order of the Many Tabs mod.

Now I have this spectacular music mod installed and everything works perfectly.

Thank you for your work and your attention.:praisesun::reheart:

This mod is not the cause of your issue, because it cannot possibly cause it: all it contains is music and patches to put that music on planets. It cannot affect gameplay beyond that.

The issue, instead, is likely not reading the compatability list on the FU page: Weapon Stats and similar mods will cause these issues if paired with FU. I assume you meant to put this on the FU page and not the FM page? Either way, check the compatability list on the FU page.

Good morning, this mod is perfect to complete the game experience.

Unfortunately when I have this mod installed, I am unable to shoot or aim certain firearms. I have Frackin universe and some other minor mods installed.

By removing this mod, those weapons function normally again.

I leave this written in case the same thing happens to someone.

Thanks

This question has been answered about 20 times in the comments. SB music is randomly pulled from a list when a planet generates. There are two songs for day and two for night, per biome, per planet. This never changes, on any given world.

Hello! I encountered same problem as Idiot_Savant, when I first land on a new biome, the FU music plays as it should be, but when travel to another biome it switches to vanilla music and never returns to FU music until next landing. Is it normal behavior? Thank you!

Awesome music pack ♥️ Best songs are "Pure" and "Ocean Exploration I"
