I've ♥♥♥♥♥♥ busy in life and as such haven't had the chance to work on this in a while. I hereby grant anyone who wants to permission to take this and update it for newer versions of Starbound and improve it. just give a shout out that you based it on this mod and I'll be happy.

Makes it so various glowing plants in Starbound 1.0 drop when they break

currently includes:
-Oshrooms
-Toxic Oshrooms
-Glow Vines
-Glow Trees
-Glow Flower Bushes
-Glow Flower Pods

and the oshrooms do not break when the water level drops!

you can also turn your Glow Vines/Trees/Pods/Bushes into Glow Fibre at the Foraging Table or using the Universal Uncrafter if you prefer that method.

I sympathize. So, I recommend that you bring this suggestion about seeds or saplings for Glow Fibers up with Neo, the author of Craftable Seeds . He has already added seeds for several vanilla plants that were previously un-growable, like tiny edible Mushrooms and even the giant Glow Mushroom Trees (which drop glow pods on breaking). And he has made saplings for fruit trees craftable from the fruit itself.

I've been having problems getting enough for both Glow Fibres and Glowing/Toxic Plants. As of yet with this mod I can have one or the other, but not both... could it be possible to make a farmable plant for Glow Fibres? Like maybe adding a Seed or Sapling to one of the specific plants or trees... that way I could get lots of both, but I'd have to work for it.

FYI: I've been busy the last few weeks and am working on an update for this mod taking into account all the comments and suggestions below. I'll update as soon as I can after finishing.

I've now found Glow Vines in-game. But, for some reason, they still drop Glow Fibre instead of place-able glow vines. Nor do I get a recipe to Glow Fibre.

Am I using a mod which conflicts with this? I've been using Frack'n Universe and a whole lot of others.

Can you look into the classification of oshrooms as a light source? I tried to use them for hylotl colony housing and the game wouldn't move a tenant in until I had a non-oshroom source as well. Ty

Thank you! I love the purple/gold theme they got, it fits my avali noble-woman style character/etc perfectly and they even grew on the ice world I was colonizing with that race, and I was so bummed when you couldnt loot them or move them. : (
