This is a 4-4-2 which has managed to get everton to both domestic cup finals and end up near the top of the table( they choked in the last run in). It is based around the concept of retaining the ball to force an opening which usually either comes from the wings or from a central through ball, in the tactic the strikers seem to score the most with the wingers getting a few too. Expect most of the assists from the wingers with some help with the strikers too. I understand this tactic will not work for everyone but it should work for most, however do not expect it to do the same as it did for this everton side as this side have been extremely lucky. The OI will be one of the pictures and I feel they add to the effectiveness of the tactic. This tactic seems to be better at home then away so be careful in those away games to not let the game out of hand. Note all games before the spurs game at home were played with a different tactic
