I haven't updated this mod since 2016. I'll just leave it up here as an example and because it's one of the first mods on this workshop.


Become a true Knight Conical with this eye-bedazzling and awe-inspiring set of plate mail. Qud needs more chrome, so this mod adds the following:

+Chrome Morion (Head)
+Chrome Visor (Face) (2 turns gas resist +1 DV)
+Chrome Masque (Face)
High Ego Bonus
+Chrome Cuirass (Body)
+Chrome Vambraces (Hands)
+Chrome Sabotons (Feet)

Each piece offers high AV and relatively low DV penalties (due to their light weight and dazzling sparkliness) in addition to Ego and elemental bonues.

This also adds a "chrome-plated" mod for most items, which looks pretty but doesn't actually have any effect (yet). You can even have chrome-plated chrome armor.

Update 7/20: Added all items to Encounter Tables, fixed Chrome Visor not showing up, and corrected spelling of the Chrome Sabatons.

Update 8/12: Putus Templar faction heroes have one random chrome armor piece in their inventories.

This mod definitely crashes your game, sorry, I haven't updated it since 2016, and I've updated the description. You can get a cooler, balanced, updated version of the armor in my Exile Kindred mod on the workshop.

Would it be overpowered if you made them reflect light based attacks? 'Cuz you should definitely do that.

Minor point, but almost all the items in CoQ are lowercase, so yours stand out since they're capitalized.

Someone reported to me that they didn't encounter some of my items until they began to obtain meta metal items. Maybe I'll ask AlphaBeard about it.

Oh. Cool, look forward to seeing the new mod. You said your mod items are added about Tier 6 or Tier 7. Where in the game is that normally?
And I guess maybe it's a debug item or somehting from another mod.

That must be either from the vanilla game or another mod. I ran a search through the raws but could not find an entry by that name, but the display name may have VACCC codes for the text color that would make the search difficult. It may be an item from a creature's inventory, such as a chrome pyramid, or a debug item. Such things usually have a tag that prevents baetyls from giving quests, though, so maybe it is from another mod.
