Legend of Blelda: A tech demo

Description
This is a tech demo of what is possible in Destinations. This is a minigame where you play through the first dungeon of my own original game, the Legend of Blelda.

You get a sword, and have to kill enemies while navigating through a dungeon. (Original concept)

I may come back to this in the future to improve it, I mainly just wanted to mess around in source2, if anyone wants to take this and make something of their own, or improve it, feel free to :)

The source code / Github for this can be found here:

They keep changing the APIs, I've fixed it a bunch of times, and it's broken again :/

This looks amazing, just doesn't work. Probably due to all the new updates to Destinations...

Is it playable for anyone else? It was broken for me unfortunatley (didnt let me teleport, just a blank panel would show up, didnt get any weapons)

I have fixed up most of the issues, still some stuff like the boomerang being annoying due to the new "grabbing physics props" feature.

As far as the screen going to black when you teleport -- this isnt actually a thing in the dev tools so I didn't know about it until I tried it in actual destinations just now :/

Maybe Valve could expose some kind of API to disable this, or make the effect less annoying?

Lots of stuff broke, I'll do my best to fix this up and get it back to 100% --- even the lighting broke some how :O I'll also try to add multiplayer support, that will be very interesting XD

Really nice work with the scripting on this. Sucks that the button function broke in the update.

Basically, waiting on Valve's response regarding documentation -- I hacked in a quick fix that allows you to change weapons, however, unless there is an update, it isn't possible to detect the grip button alone :/ prior to the multiplayer update, this was working flawlessly :(

Teleport limitation is on purpose (obviously) it is to prevent you from skipping entire sections with one click. The issue with weapons changing upon teleporting was created by valve when they updated the game; it is being worked on.

interesting idea, but the teleportation limitations ruin it. It would be much better if you could teleport anywhere you can see like the mesh in the lobby area of The Lab. Quickly teleporting two steps away becomes disorienting because of the black frame between each teleport. Another note, each time I teleported my item switched for some reason (not really a huge deal).
