Workaround
If the workshop mod doesn't seem to work for you, then try this workaround.

First subscribe to one of the workshop mods.
Open your Steam installation path (Might look like this C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam)
Once inside your Steam installation goto this path \steamapps\workshop\content\222880\

Now open the folder, which has one of the following IDs (depends which workshop mod you subscribed to)
703234252 - Color Blindness | Tritanopia
703235139 - Color Blindness | Deuteranopia
703233322 - Color Blindness | Protanopia

Inside the folder you will find the workshop file, might look like this protanopia_lino.vpk
Copy this file into the custom folder which you can find under this path \steamapps\common\insurgency2\insurgency\

!Bear in mind, that if you don't want to have the mod anymore you got to delete the file inside the custom folder!
