Description
A BCD to Seven Segment Display Decoder using logic gates created with rudimentary Portal 2 map editing tools.

I specifically created this in PTI to demonstrate that it would be possible to create logic gates and devices using the limited resources given by the map editor. Scripting in Hammer isn't as fancy as red lights that kill your computer :)

world probably be much less resource heavy if instead of using Lasers for the logic you used scripting in Hammer. But then again Hammer is a pain to use.

Running it on a dual Xeon system and it lags bad. yea I have Two quad cores.

Yes, it definitely does. Lasers are very resource heavy in Portal 2. I'm running this on a Core2Duo E8400 with about 15 fps.

The source engine realy lags bad on this map.

It already had enough trouble rebuilding as it is lol. The source engine is much too limited when creating logic gates using this method.

Ah sweet! I remember playing around with 7 segment LEDs and BCD as a kid. Those were fun times. Great to see it replicated in Puzzle Maker. I wonder if you could somehow use this as a teaching aid.
