Star Trek Races + Uniforms

Description
Final Update:
Hey all, as many of you have correctly assumed this mod is long dead! Sorry for the lack of updates, if you stumble here please support the excellent ST: New Horizons by @G-Man: https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=688086068

See ya!

Update 5: This latest update comes courtesy of walshicus ( https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/profiles/76561198037869976/myworkshopfiles/ ) and his awesome work recreating Bolians, Cardassians and Bajorans. As always, you can use the ready to play prescripted empire, or you can find the portraits in the 'Trek' tab. Now that we've got a baseline of races, I think I'll add period uniforms.

Update 4: Here are the Klingons! The cosmetic selection is a little sparse atm, but filling it in shoudln't be a problem. You can play as the prescripted Klingon Empire or select the race from the 'Trek' tab. Thanks to Ooiue for his Star Trek Systems initialiser and to Swiss Knight for the Star Trek Emblem Pack. Next up, Bajorans, Cardassians and some more uniforms!

Update 3: The Federation is now a separate species, restoring vanilla humans in the game. Next update is going to be Cardassians, Bajorans and Klingons!

Update 2: The Federation expands! I've added Vulcans and Andorians (sorry Tellarites) and some flavour text. As of now the mod replaces the regular human empires. Let me know if you want something in particular!

Update 1: Female leaders now have properly adapted costumes. Will add races in the next update.

Ironman compatible mod for Star Trek fans. Adds a Federation empire with races and TNG era uniforms.

Feel free to grab anything for use in other mods, just remember to credit!

p.s. if you were running the older version of the mod that overwrote human portraits and want to continue playing on that save, here is a compatibility mod to revert back. http://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=687949516 Warning, I won't be updating that version anymore.

This mod just straight up doesnt work anymore at this point for anyone wondering. Theres no species section called star trek anymore and none of the races or portraits are to be found. It is truly dead in the newest update, which is really unfortunate because its one of the only mods of its kind. Would love to see a comeback with it updated just this once

@ Taco De Moist

I made the edit to fix it. Where do I drop it so it'll work and not be over-written by the mod zip?

Thanks for the help.

FYI, this is a very simple fix.
in "common\species_classes"

open 000_trek.txt

after the line Trek = {

put:

archetype = BIOLOGICAL
possible = { authority = { NOT = { value = auth_machine_intelligence text = SPECIES_CLASS_MUST_NOT_USE_MACHINE_INTELLIGENCE } } }

the traits will be working correctly then.

If this is dead, I would be willing to give it a shot at updating. Any one interested? How do I go about "assuming control"? The author has not been on in 138 days as of this posting.

I can only assume that this mod is long since dead. A shame, since I wanted to include a few star trek races.

I believe it's because the game doesn't know if the species is Biological or Technological, so it doesn't let any traits be chosen. Not sure how you'd fix this but hopefully that helps
