The Forgotten Prince - Team Kaleidoscopic

Description
The Forgotten Prince
By Team Kaleidoscopic

Mod Available on Nexus: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/75555/?

Upon arriving in Morthal, you are greeted by a Courier.
He tells you that he has been hired by a mysterious Wizard named Auxentius to hand
out information to passing Adventurers. As it happens, Auxentius is looking to
hire a brave warrior to help him in a rigorous and dangerous task. It appears a
shady underground mob boss by the name of Tolldar has plans to re-forge his
ancestor’s famous staff in an attempt to fulfil the prophecy of The Forgotten
Prince and become heir to the throne of the High King of Skyrim. It is up to
the player and Auxentius to whatever it takes to ensure that he does not gain
power and control over the whole province of Skyrim!

What is The Forgotten Prince?

The Forgotten Prince is a mod that adds a brand new story forthe player to experience and a brand new set of challenges to overcome. With
the addition of several new characters and many new locations to explore, there
is plenty of new content to enjoy, that suits all types of players.

Features:

· 7 Brand new quest that all follow 1 newstoryline.
· 1-5 Hours of gameplay (Depending on how muchexploration is done).
· 10 New fully voiced NPC characters.
· 1 New spell and spell book.
· 1 New story book.
· 9 New discoverable locations, which include,
· 4 Fighting pits filled with tough enemies,
· 4 Dungeons with plenty to explore, puzzles to solve, loot to find and many tough enemies to fight.
· 1 New world-space, separate from Skyrim

Warning:We made this mod as part of our Games Design degree at University. Whilst the
mod received a 94% grade, due to time constraints and meeting the deadlines,
our mod is far from fully polished. Make sure to save frequently to ensure no
progress is lost if something goes wrong (the wrong NPC accidentally dies at
the wrong time, for example).

What doesThe Forgotten Prince require?

The Forgotten Prince only requires the Vanilla version ofSkyrim.
It does not require any DLC.
It does not require any other mods.
It should (untested) be fully compatible will all DLC andmost popular mods.

How to start The Forgotten Prince/What level should you be?

To start The Forgotten Prince, travel in any way you like(Fast travel, carriage, walking etc.) to Morthal. Once there, the player will be approached by a Courier who will hand you a letter. Upon reading the letter, the first quest will begin…
This mod does not have a level requirement and should generallyscale with your characters’ level. However, it is worth noting that currentfeedback for the mod is that the enemies aren’t quite tough enough, so it is recommended that you play a lower level character if possible.

Feedback/Questions:

I would absolutely love to hear your feedback. Whilst we donot plan to update this mod, learning what was good and bad will greatly help us out in any future work we do.
If you have any questions I would be more than happy toanswer them in the discussion/post section below, or contact me at

@NecroDragon

This mod works on a good number, but not all, quest items - http://skyrim.nexusm...om/mods/8409/?

Console command player.Drop <base ID> <amount> can also work on some items, but be careful - save before doing this - as some items just disappear when dropped and cannot be recovered.

I believe you can find the base ID by clicking on the item but I may be wrong. I hope either of these options work out for you. :)

Hey, I encountered a potential glitch in this mod: The Fenrissen Shields never stop being quest items even after you show one to Auxentius; however, do they actually become normal items at a later time? If not, then how do I fix the glitch?

That was the problem, I guess. I really thought I'd read the note, but I guess not.

@masasketch Did you read the note which the courier gives you?

I went to Morthal and met the courier, but when I tried to talk to Auxentius the only dialogue option was to ask what he has for sale. How do I start the quest?

@ChezFisto Thank you very much for playing the mod, we greatly appreciate it! Also many thanks for your feedback. That bug was missed just due to the way we tested it. We never considered venturing away from the mod questline mid way through, so thank you for highlighting that too us!

Good mod, I had fun playing through it, I found one bug (maybe two) and have a few critiques.

The bug I know for sure is that I died in Morthal before actually going to Solitude and the wizard resurected me like I had died to the first boss.
A second possible bug is I think I may have become invincible at some point during the quest, after I was finished I was fighting guards in Solitde and not taking any damage.

My critique is that after the first boss everything seemed really easy, I killed most things in a couple of hits max, I two-shot the final boss who I feel like should have been harder. (This may have been because of the 2nd bug that I mentioned).

@Qahnaarin We thought some people would get confused about the first boss, I'm glad you came back to give the mod a second go!! :steamhappy:
