Alt-X I think is the default for taking a BP, but check your keybindings in options to be sure.

having to add a lot of blocks, like to close the landing areas on either side to the inside. the way they are theinterior of the ship would decompress since theya re open to space all aorund. now added a row of blocks right at the doorwau and an armored door, no now both sides are sealed from the interior. also added doors to the top of the elevators to clsoe those off, and hanger doors for both sides and the hanger on the end. getting there but a lot to do...adding some guns too, not for combat but for drone defense.

a gift a remodeled and upgraded basic carrier. Now called a Starter Basic...little in the way of equipment but necessary thing like elevators to all the top decks and the Command Center. enough engines to move but not well, and a tiny generator and fuel tanks. moved the core to a less conspicuous place too.

please find all info and pics in my screenshots folder and use as you wish.

added a few basic thrusters today, worked at getting rid of the last bigger unit in the back to make it look more balanced, the front should always be long on a carrier the back not so much. added my command chair and got it settled down better and closer to the ground, when I spawned it it was pretty high...and it stayed there...;) but now its easier to get in and out off and a few elevator blocks and now you can get to the command center from either the main deck or the top landing platform or even the back landing areas. getting better. the main hanger caught me by surprise theres a step up about half way in, so thinking with some good planning the higher area can be for bigger ships and the 2 block high area for smaller ships, maybe hvs too with a ramp added to the front hanger door.

its very large, the control room has a lot of unused space, and theres no way to conect teh side landing pads with the interior. made a tunnel from one into the inside...it comes out half way up the wall..lol so elevaters it is..stairs are problematic a lot in game, so elevaters everywhere then. started one down from the roof landing pad on top of the control room, there was an empty block there for it I guess, so need a bunch more then finish the acess from the roof pad to the control room today, then see about the ebst way to acess it from other areas.added a cheap T1 generator for the elevaters and a single small fuel tank as basic equipment.

ohhh you were a crazy person I see, yes...it can be spawned now at 8.0 but the materials says that each block I take out to move around is a sv block, so nothing taken out can ever be reused again. the main hanger...if you want to call it that...was 1 block high???? the floor was 4 blocks thick..lol so now mine is 1 block thick and has a 3 block high hanger space.see my screenshots page for a picture of my orca scout sitting inside the main hanger.
