Description
Remake of my old "Pelican Heavy VTOL", which was made long before planets and new thrusters, purely ion.

New verison significantly upgraded, all thrusters replaced to atmospheric, rebalanced, poor designed cargo containers on merge block were exchanged with cool detailed cargo module, borrowed from A1TERO long truck, that you can find on his Camelot Research base.

This model also became wider - "alternative symmetry" with axis between two central blocks was replaced by "classic symmetry" with one central block, allowing me to attach cargo module right in the center.

Note: latest 1.124 patch inspired me to remake Pelican VTOL, because "safety lock" feature will be extremely helpful for it's retractable landing gears. However, nothing that's smooth, as we want it: piston's safety lock is bugged and my 5x timer system, which must keep pistons "locked" all the time, except it's retracting/extending is useless, so I just "froze" it and limited autolock with 30 m/s, that should be enough for safety use of pistons. When they fix piston's heads detaching, I will update this ship with brand-new super-safe retractable landing gears. But not now.

Just retract landing gears on pistons after you landed :P

I would like to 2nd Poppi's question, even though it's been a year and I don't know if this will still work in survival. How do you pick the pod up again?

Theoretically, it should be buildable by projection, you'll just need to add landing gears manually on pistons, but pod is attached via merge block

Question: If the pod is modular, it wont build when built via projector? If true can you upload the pod as a BP itself, or i can go in creative and make one lol

I got it resolved. I ripped the ship apart, rebuilt it from the ground up, redesigned some things and now it works perfectly. :D

@t3hSn0wm4n, w8, wut? Sounds terrible, and I never heard of such an issue, only "autopilot enabled" bug... I will check that out :O
