Description

Have you ever lost one of your super-star soldiers, and had to restart because the rest of your barracks was filled with Rookies? Well no longer! This mod gives soldiers in the barracks a small amount of XP after each mission.

UPDATED TO SUPPORT WAR OF THE CHOSEN!
For a version that doesn't require War of the Chosen, see here

How does it work?

In the base game, all units on a mission get a small amount of bonus XP, even if they got no kills. You can read more about it here[gaming.stackexchange.com].

This mod gives a percentage of that bonus XP (default is 50%) to soldiers in the barracks as well.

Is it configurable?

Yes. Using Mod Config Menu, you can change:

What percentage of the bonus XP soldiers in the barracks get
Whether units can level up outside of a mission
Whether rookies gain bonus XP
Whether injured, training, or covert soldiers get bonus XP

Hi BlueRaja,

With the help of X2 modding discord, I've made a port of your mod (or more specifically, Blooest's LW2 port of your mod) to work with LWOTC. I have tested it locally and it is working as intended. Would you give me permission to publish it? I will give you and Blooest credit, of course!

(I tried to ask Blooest for permission as well, but I think they might have mistaken my friend request and blocked me, so I cant even comment on their mod to ask for permission now. If you can somehow let them know, that'd be great as well!)

Great mod, loving it, but now my promotions from rookie totally ignore what I've set soldiers to be. IE I have one that was a Ranger but is now a sharpshooter. Didn't get a chance to train her up. Also a couple of psi soldiers that are now just ordinary soldiers.
