"Aegis Fury" is a reworked version of the original Mother Goose One project. Mother Goose One could have used additional protection and firepower. Naturally, both of those things were added to the ship with this refit - the ship now has additional turrets and a layer of armor plating on top of the hull, as well as pulse lasers mounted in the nose. Not to mention the new black and blue paint scheme. I also took the liberty of replacing the old windows with the new semi-transparent windows introduced in Pre-Alpha 0.5.3.

Mother Goose One was a project initialized by me and some friends on my survival server. Its primary goal was to serve as a complete mobile base. That does not mean, of course, that it cannot withstand combat (particularly with the Aegis Fury refit).
The Goose sports a command bridge and several crew decks. Some of the features offered by these decks include:

- A large farm offering almost every kind of plant which can be grown in Empyrion. You can feed a large crew indefinitely if you supplement the farm with meat collected from planets. Naturally there are plenty of refrigerators and some food processors to make use of the farm. The limiting factors, as a result, are mostly the fuel packs, pure water and oxygen bottles, which would require a visit to a supply area on occasion.

- Two separate hangars - one for Hover Vessels and one for Small Vessels. The Hover Vessel bay has an entrance which can accomodate small-to-moderately sized vessels, and high boost jumping is not a requirement. Just to keep the wrong people out, sentry guns are included in the vessel bay and the entrance is nearby the main lower battery. -- The small vessel bay for the Mother Goose One was originally a sharp 150-degree turn. This made for excellent hangar protection but was difficult for pilots to pass through, especially with larger dropships. "Aegis Fury" remodels this entrance so that not only can larger vessels enter, but pilots can very easily descend into the hangar, while still offering comparable protection.
-- When you're running around blowing up POIs and dogfighting space drones, sometimes you take a few hits. The small vessel bay comes with unique repair bays where you can easily land your vessels and repair them
-- The "scramble room" allows for fighter pilots to sit safely yet in readiness right near the hangar entrance with their craft at arm's reach. At the moment the ship's commander gives the word, pilots can leap from their seats into the elevator and be screaming out the hangar bay within seconds, ready to deal with drones or hostile players.

- On long trips throughout the Andromeda galaxy, your crew will surely appreciate the crew comforts that have been added to the ship. There's a mess hall, shower and restroom facilities (unisex due to space constraints), a bunkroom, and also viewing lounges scattered throughout the ship. Thanks to the new shutter-less windows, you can just have a seat and enjoy the pristine view!

- Using "gunner's trenches", many of the main batteries can be seamlessly accessed from the interior of the ship. Your crew can blast the enemy up close and personal without having to enter the vacuum of space!

- Don't take her size and weight as a sign that this ship is sluggish and slow! This ship has RCS units scattered throughout the hull, and has plenty of engine power to fly to orbit even in the atmospheres of lava planets with high gravity! She'll accelerate to 110m/s in space almost instantly.

Also, since Mother Goose One was built before 0.5.2 and the bigger CV rocket turrets, it has the mega-powerful rocket turrets which only occupy a 3x3x2 box, instead of a 5x5x3 box.

Mother Goose One is a reference to the game Ace Combat 5, in which "Mother Goose One" is the callsign of a transport plane carrying the president of the player's nation. The mission is called "Handful of Hope", and plenty of people uploaded playthroughs on Youtube. Aegis Fury was used by the author to describe the refit, "Aegis" for protection and "Fury" for firepower.
